I’ve been pretty slack at posting this last year but here is my latest creations from the weekend. Inspired by a picture provided by the customer. Not a theme I thought I’d enjoy because, ya know, red can be a pain in the bum but this turned out so well. My new favourite cake!! Made for my amazing riding instructor and her husband’s joint 60th birthday!
This is the first ever fondant figure I’ve made and I’m so pleased with it. The only spec I’d been given was a horse and a motorbike and a preference for an elegant cake. Apart from that I had carte blanche so I decided to try a couple of things out I’ve not done before and I’m so happy with the results!
This was also my last order before Christmas so for the next 7 weeks you’ll find me knees deep in mulled wine and mince pies 🤩

40 piped cupcakes for my amazing riding instructor’s birthday today. 4 different flavours; vanilla, white chocolate and raspberry, lemon and chocolate fudge all topped with piped vanilla buttercream. I find these cakes so satisfying to make 🥰

Baby blue and cream cupcakes for a lovely little man’s Christening at then weekend. I was lucky enough to be a guest at the christening as well so got to enjoy the ceremony (child free 🤩) and got the lovely feedback on the cakes first hand for a change 🥰

‘Into the Unknown’ is this cake’s name… I made this for my daughter’s birthday party yesterday and I had no idea what it was going to look like until I put it together. I took inspiration from about 5 different cakes and this is what I came up with.
I do always say to my customers I won’t copy an idea exactly but I will do my version of a cake.
Birthday girl was made up with the cake, but I have no idea how I’m going to top this one next year 🙈

All the pink! This has been my favourite cake to make so far. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of decorating it. If only all cakes could be this satisfying 😍
The birthday girl came with her mum to collect it as well and it was lovely to see and hear her first reaction. ‘This is the best birthday cake ever!’ It made my day 🥰
My first time using drip and I couldn’t recommend it more! So easy to use and have a perfect drip! Perfect for when you need nice bright colours like this.
