Role Summary:
• To assist and support the Finance Manager in day to day financial matters including financial reporting and systems development.
• To be responsible for maintaining the company records for all transactions in and out of the business
• To carry out day to day credit control resposnsibilities
• To act as primary contact to 3rd HR and Payroll providers
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Entering transactions and bank reconciliation for all bank and invoice finance accounts
• Supporting preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Ensuring all bank accounts have sufficient funds each day
• Paying suppliers within agreed credit terms
• Management of credit control function
• Month end reporting and ledger control
• Supporting Head of Finance in ensuring data integrity and system improvements
• Supporting the review, planning and implementation of all procedures and system changes

About You:
This role would be ideally suited to someone with prior experience in bookkeeping who is looking for a new opportunity in a growing business. A keen eye for detail and desire to always implement and improve department procedures will be key in fulfilling the role requirements. Communication both with the team and the rest of the company is vital so well written and spoken English is a must. If you have aspirations of helping to support the growth of an SME with big ambitions, then this is the role for you.
Essential requirements:
• AAT part or fully qualified, or equivalent qualification
• A basic understanding of the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
• At least two years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
• Previous experience using any accounting software
• An exceptionally keen eye for detail and be highly organised
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel
• The ability to work to very high standards of accuracy when preparing and interpreting spreadsheets
• The capability and willingness to work collaboratively and on your own initiative
• An approachable, flexible, and positive attitude
• Strong multi-tasking and organisational skills
• Must be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to meet deadlines and to make a positive, hands-on difference during very busy periods.
Desirable requirements:
• Previous experience using Sage 200
• Previous experience preparing payroll
