The Bread & Butter Board.

I've teamed up with the Janice Heyes from Janice Heyes - Single Fired Ceramics for the latest product.

I originally used some dark walnut with straight lines and sharp edges as a juxtaposition to Janice's handmade butter keeper dome, but it felt too combative.

It all came together when I went with a live edge on a thick piece of English oak that flowed and rolled over the edges. Still keeping the functionality of the original idea, with a deep crumb catcher and a dished butter trough for the warmer days when the butter melts.

I absolutely adore what this has evolved into and knowing it's a 1 of 1, it's going to be a hard one to let go of.

My latest, and at times what felt like longest, build is finally done. This 2 seater, 660cc beast will be shredding the roads at all speeds under 50mph, taking me to all my markets from now on.

What's on your mind?

For me, it's working out if doing kitchenware and tableware as new products has run it's course..... at least for the time being.

But that doesn't mean it's the end of new products, I'm flirting with the idea of doing some home office designs and other bits around the home. Like this playing card note holder for my desk.

I made my wife one as well, but for her its to put down tasks that need doing around the house. She writes it down and adds it to the que of jobs so I don't forget/ have an excuse not to do them.

I forged a massive knife with the gents over at over the last couple of days. It's ridiculously large in comparison to the daily driver I made a few years back.
