After 14 wonderful years serving you at the much loved Rene's of Tynemouth, I've now traded the 'Cafe' apron for the 'Bakery' one.

I am beginning a delicious and exciting new chapter with the launch of Rene's Bakes & Cakes.
While the location has changed, the passion for quality and homemade taste remains exactly the same.

From our renowned signature scones to decadent cakes, cupcakes and tray bakes, all baked in my home kitchen, ready for your next occasion.

I have missed you all and can't wait to share a slice of something special with you again. 🍰

🎅🤶Hope all our customers had a lovely Christmas.
We are CLOSED today for Boxing Day. We will reopen on Friday and will be OPEN 7 days a week from then until end of January including New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Can it be ‘too early’ for a delicious homemade cheese scone?
The best around, we are often told!

We are open an extra hour in the mornings from 9 am from today for coffee/tea and hot breakfast sandwiches for trial period.

We would love to see the ‘Early Birds’ of Tynemouth pop in.
