Normally I would do a “best of 9” of the years photos but having looked at my feed I only actually posted 9 photos for the entire year!
So I will just post these again as I did at the start of all this. We all know it’s been a shocker of a year so not to dwell on that. But I do have many positives to take from this year and as we tip toe cautiously into 2021, look ahead to brighter days and for me an exciting new venture and project for Jolly Scrumptious will hopefully start to take shape.

A new addition to my cupcake party equipment! 👇🏻😷 So good to be able to host a children’s cupcake party yesterday for a really lovely group of girls. My first party since February and sadly with the change in restrictions from tomorrow quite possibly my last till ...well who knows when. So disappointing for my little business and for the little people missing out on parties which have had to again be cancelled. But I’m going to work on a new package for smaller groups and perhaps new party ideas. And will look forward to when parties can be bigger and better 🎉 🥳 🎈

🍪Fathers Day biscuit decorating box🍪

I’ve put together some biscuit decorating boxes to keep the kids busy and to make something special for Fathers Day. Each box contains 6 icing covered vanilla biscuits together with a little pack of edible pens so the kids can get creative and add their own colour and decorations to the icing. One biscuit is embossed with “Dad” ready to be coloured in. There is also 2 t shirts, 2 people and a star.

Sometimes a fruit topped cake is all you need. Especially when the strawberries and raspberries from the local farm shop are as delicious as these were 🍓

Well it’s been a while! Hope everyone has been keeping safe and well over these past weeks. Not a lot of baking going on here other than making lots of treats to keep the kids entertained and fed. I’ve been taking the time to focus on the children and attempting home schooling and taking this break to think about the business going forward. We had a lockdown birthday last week, my son turned 14 but I couldn’t miss a cake and at his request made his favourite red velvet cake. Didn’t last long we seem to be eating a lot of sweet treats at the moment. Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

It’s difficult to know what to post at the moment if anything at all. So I’ve just decided on something bright, cheerful and hopeful.

Hopeful that people stay healthy and safe.

Hopeful that small businesses like mine right through to my dear friends working in the travel industry all bounce back once we are on the other side of this.

And hopeful that this brings us all a different view and gratitude to life.

The first cupcake party of the new year and a great one it was too! A 9th birthday party for 10 girls making fabulous mermaid decorations. Lots of sprinkles and lots of sparkles! These were the birthday girls brilliant cakes.

And includes my best friends 40th birthday cake and another good friends wedding cupcakes with a little cupcake party design thrown in to the mix too. Looking forward to what the new year holds but it starts with the first of this years cupcake parties tomorrow!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything and although I’ve been a busy bee with cakes and lots of fab cupcake parties, posting pictures has taken a back seat. With lots going on family time was much needed.
But I could not miss saying a massive thank you to all my lovely customers this year who have trusted me with their celebration and wedding cakes and for the many, many fabulous children I’ve had the pleasure of teaching during parties and holiday clubs. It’s been another brilliant year and I’m looking forward to what the next year and a new decade brings.
