A little update regarding allergens and my cakes & desserts ❤️
Going forward, I will no longer be making any cakes or desserts containing nuts, and I will be making my business completely nut-free.
I’ve recently had quite a few couples tell me that either they or one or more of their guests have a nut allergy. As everyone’s allergy can vary in severity, and some reactions can be extremely serious, I feel that the safest and most responsible decision is to remove nuts from my baking altogether.
I already take every possible precaution to prevent and reduce the risk of cross-contamination, but I feel that making the business nut-free gives my couples and their guests an extra level of reassurance when ordering from me.
I also take allergies and intolerances very seriously when it comes to gluten-free cakes. I have separate mixing bowls, utensils and cake tins specifically for gluten-free baking. These are kept covered and stored separately when not in use, and I follow separate preparation procedures to reduce the risk of cross-contamination as much as possible.
Of course, I will always ask couples about any allergies or dietary requirements when they book, and I’m more than happy to discuss individual requirements with you.
Your safety and peace of mind are incredibly important to me, and I’ll always do everything I reasonably can to make sure you can enjoy your cake with confidence.
Thank you, as always, for your understanding and continued support 💕
