We’ve got some good news!

Starting next week (from the 6th), Native Grain will be open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.

It’s something we’ve been working towards for a while, and it feels really nice to finally get there. More days to bake, more days to share what we make, and more chances for you to stop by.

We’re really looking forward to it.

Very proud to share this one!

We’ve been included in the list of Britain’s 50 Best Bakeries for 2026.

To be mentioned alongside so many bakeries we respect and admire across the country feels pretty special. I’m super grateful to be in such great company, and incredibly thankful to our team and everyone who walks through our door and supports us week after week.

New special on the counter ☕️🥐

A new laminated pastry we’ve been playing with lately.

A cross-laminated case, baked crisp and buttery,
filled with a bed of hard toasted hazelnuts,
a soft caramel layer hidden in the middle,
topped with a silky espresso crèmeux
and finished with a coffee streusel
and a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Deep coffee, gentle sweetness, lots of texture. Very much one for slow mornings and second coffees.

We’re hiring: Front of House Position

We’re looking for a lovely, reliable person to join us at Native Grain Bakery.

You’ll be welcoming customers, serving bread and pastries, keeping the bakery looking great, and helping out with a bit of general prep when needed. It’s a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a small, friendly team.

Hours:
Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
7:30am – 2:00pm
(We’re open Wed–Sat, 8am–2pm)

Hospitality experience is a bonus, but not essential. A great attitude and willingness to learn matter most to us. Pay is always above minimum wage and depends on experience.

Perks include: lunch on shift, pastries to enjoy, and staff discounts.

That’s all for this year, folks!

A massive THANK YOU from us to every single one of you who supported us this year, rainy or sunny, warm or cold, you showed up for your bread, pastries, pizzas and sandwiches, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Now it’s time for us to take a little break, rest up and recharge.

We’ll be back on 3rd January, ready to fire up the ovens again.

So happy to find our little bakery featured in Britain’s Best Bakeries!
We’re absolutely thrilled, what a joy to be recognised among so many brilliant bakeries across the country.

New Special: Mont Blanc Pastry

Our new special is inspired by the classic French Mont Blanc, a dessert created in the 17th century and traditionally made with meringue, whipped cream and sweetened chestnut purée shaped like the snowy Alpine peak.

Ours sits on a cross-laminated croissant base, filled with layers of meringue and vanilla mascarpone cream, finished with chestnut vermicelli.

Light, nutty and clean flavours. A proper winter treat!
