The day has finally come ❤️

It's the last day of Harte of Troon bakery, and the last day before our beloved baker retires!!

We'll be open until we're sold out (and then we'll be off to open the prosecco 🍾) so get down early for your HoT favourites and to get any ordered recipe books.

Soup today is vegetable broth, and scones are treacle or sultana. Sourdough loaves are all ordered but we have plenty of rolls available for your lunches (or to freeze for later), and brown bread rolls also available.

Andrew's been working half days as he has a friend visiting, and we've had our busiest week ever!

Thank you to everyone who has visited the shop.

Today, we have already had a wipeout of our bread and scones, so I won't list what's left - it might be gone by the time you get here!

What a day yesterday!
I genuinely think that's the busiest Thursday we've ever had!!

Even though we were a bit frantic at times, Sam still managed to produce these amazing honey and raspberry cupcakes.

Chocolate fudge cake also in the cabinet.

Days off this week we're spent putting together our collection of HoT recipes!

I discovered that most of the recipes I have written down are like a Bake Off technical challenge - here's a list of ingredients, make and decorate a cake!! 🙂

But they are now written down properly, and I'm sure you're HoT favourite is in there.

We're not quite finished printing them all out, but they'll be available from 19th.

I've taken a note of everyone who wants either some sourdough starter or the recipe folder.

That gives me at least an idea of numbers to work with.

I'm so glad you all like the cakes and bakes enough to give it a go yourselves!

The cake cabinets are stocked, the coffee's on, it definitely feels like spring!

We only have 2 weeks to go, and people have been asking about various recipes and if they can buy some of our sourdough starter culture.

I'm trying to put together a wee folder of HoT recipes, which we'll sell in our last week - let us know if you want one!

And if you are ready to begin your own sourdough journey, let us know if you'd like a little bit of Beertrice, our sourdough starter.

And the layer cake that Andrew is so diligently carrying out quality control on is lime and coconut 😅
