My first attempt at a brownie stack. Really pleased with this one :) When my friend requested this I initially declined as I had never done one before; but she persuaded me to have a go. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed it :) I wasn't sure how many I'd need so I made an extra tray. My family and I got to have a few of the spares and I can safely say they passed the gooey, fudgy, brownie standards I had set for myself!!

Baby girl cakes with acrylic toppers :) The button, elephant and feet are handmade from fondant icing though and are fully edible! I like to use at least a few toppers that are non-perishable on baby themed cakes as they are great to have as a keepsake in the baby's memory box :)

For my good friend's son's 4th birthday. I haven't made a spiderman cake since my own litttle boy's birthday a few years ago. Gradient effect buttercream is very precise and takes a lot of skill, but the effect is worth the pressure! I also had the privilege of making gender reveal cupcakes for this little boy to find out what gender his new sibling would be a few months ago. I was honoured to be sent a very heart warming video of his reaction when biting into them and seeing the colour of the sponge 🥹 And when I dropped the cake off I got a cuddle with the gorgeous new baby- bonus :)

When your crazily clever friend comes around for dinner, and he has just aced some of the hardest exams known to man...... a celebratory cake is in order!!!! A semi naked cake was the most appropriate for the occasion, as it was my last day of annual leave, and my little boy is back to school tomorrow after the Easter hols, so I couldn't make a fully iced cake as it's a 5-6 hour job, and I didn't want to miss out on family time. However, such an incredible achievement could not escape the Moya cake radar!!! I love acknowledging my friends' and family's life events, one cake at a time :)

A Peter Rabbit cake for a little boy's 1st birthday, who is the son of one of the loveliest collegaues ever! This is the first cake I have made in my new house, and I am loving having more workspace in the kitchen. This one made me realise why it's so important to have lots of spare supplies. I had ordered a personalised cardboard Peter Rabbit themed topper from Etsy on the 14th March. The seller sent it promptly on the 15th, and the estimated delivery was the 18-20th March. It never arrived :( (Not the seller's fault- it was definitely sent- it's down to issues with Royal Mail). Thankfully I had leftover acrylic lettering in my decorating cupboard- as personalising the cake with the child's name is non-negotiable for me. On the other hand, it has given me the ammunition to seriously consider buying my own Cricut machine. It has always seemed too big an outlay for a hobbyist baker; but now my nightmare of a topper not arriving on time has eventually come true; I have to think again. Although I'm not sure I'll have the time or mental energy to learn how to use it!
