✨Well, this is a big one! 💫
After a lot of thought (and a fair bit of soul-searching!), I’ve made the difficult decision to hang up my market apron and say goodbye to Totnes Market.
This Friday and Saturday will be my very last weekend trading at the market! 🥹
The physical demands of producing my ferments, baking, loading and unloading, setting up the stall and spending long days on my feet have been taking their toll on my health. As much as I love what I do, I’ve realised something has to give.
So, it’s time to say goodbye to my kimchi and sauerkrauts, and to market life.
But here’s the exciting bit… I’m not giving up on creating delicious, wholesome food! 🎉
I’m hoping to continue making my gluten-free, vegan and refined sugar-free cakes and sweet treats, supplying local shops and cafés on a smaller, more manageable scale.
And with this new chapter will come a brand-new name! So while Vigouroots will be disappearing, there are exciting new beginnings on the horizon. Watch this space! 🌱
A MASSIVE thank you to all my wonderful customers, fellow traders and the market team. I’ll miss the chats, laughs and familiar faces so much!
And an extra-special thank you to my amazing mum, who’s been by my side throughout this entire adventure. My right-hand woman, market assistant, biggest supporter and absolute rock through all the ups and downs. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. 💚
Please come and see us this Friday and Saturday for one last market weekend! We’d love to see you!
My remaining kimchi and sauerkraut stock will still be available through local stockists for a little while longer, while stocks last.
Thank you for being part of the Vigouroots journey.
Here’s to new beginnings! 🌱💚
