One of this weeks birthday girls, who turned 13 this week, is a talented, aspiring animator and her mum asked if could create her birthday cake based on some of her favourite pieces of her own artwork and so she sent me some to choose from! So I chose three of my favourite pieces of our cake recipients work, and this is what I came up with! 😁
Turning Maja’s creativity into an edible art form was great, I really enjoyed this project 😄😄 Thanks Maja for the collaboration, even though you were completely unaware of it and Thank you to Paulina, Maja’s mum for such a great idea x

Time to catch up on Photos of cakes created this past month and a bit!
Starting with one of my favourites, The Money Heist Cake!
Comprising of two tiers, chocolate sponge with ganache buttercream for the bottom tier and top tier is vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream.
The giant euro Swag bag sat on top of the cake is a fondant covered chocolate orange! 😋
Lots of fun creating the Professor and the little red heisters (is ‘heisters’ a word? 🤣).

When birthday boys partner just says “Kayaks, the rest is up to you”, and the day before you start creating she shares a post on Fb about how he had spent the day with his daughter, kayaking around Broadsands, inadvertently not only wearing his own baseball cap but also his daughters unicorn baseball cap on top of his head without realising it! So being the outstanding friends that we are, we now affectionately call him Mr TwoHats…..not to be confused with….well, y’know! Apparently his missus has been calling him that for years anyway! Affectionately, of course! 😂🤣😂🤣 We love you Mr TwoHats! ❤️😂🤣😂

Special cake for one of my favourite birthday gals Amber! She is always so excited for her birthday cake, but Lockdown prevented Amber from having her cake and eating it last year on her 10th birthday… 😥 boooo hisss ….but thankfully it was all systems go for her 11th! Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate for this one!

Chocolate sponge with chocolate ganache buttercream and ganache drip, loaded with Chocolate orange slices, Reece’s cups, Cadbury flake, Crunchie, Maltesers, Hershey Cookies and Cream, Dairy milk, and more plus my solid chocolate ‘Happy Birthday” plaque that I made with white chocolate on Dark Chocolate!

That’s definitely some serious chocolate overload right there! Yum! 😆

It was all about Dinosaurs this week...And I now know the difference between a pteranodon and a Pterodactyl and that brontosaurs are not classified as a dinosaur at all but rather was a very very large lizard! And did you know why the T-Rex had such ridiculously tiny arms? Well, apparently it was because they were the perfect size for holding prey the optimum distance from its great big scary chomping jaw! Little bit of Sunday morning dinosaur trivia for you there! 🦖🦖 Anyhoo, this cake was made for little Milani, who loves dinosaurs, to celebrate her 2nd birthday! Happy birthday Milani xx

Kiarra’s duel themed cake for her 8th birthday! I still have no clue really about Tik Tok....everybody seems to have done one...am I one of the very few who haven’t done a Tik Tok? Thank goodness for my younger cake recipients for keeping me in touch with what is down with the trumpets these days! Maybe I should do a caking Tik Tok...I’m sure my own kids would be mortified at that.....oh...aaaah 🤔🤔🤔 hmmmm...I’m just off to the Apple app store..brb 😈! 😂🤣😂
