Just a little PSA and a big thank you.
For those that don’t know at the start of February we are leaving Sevenoaks and moving to a farmhouse in Horsemonden.
It’s going to be such a change for us. Nat and I have both lived in Sevenoaks since we were teenagers and we’ve been in this house for 23 years but, the time has come to make some new memories, have adventures and pour our love into making another beautiful house our home. (I will still be baking and making pretty wedding cakes and sugar flowers!)
It’s all very emotional; exciting and overwhelming in equal measure but once we’re there I have no doubt we’ll wonder why we didn’t do it years ago and the only time we will look back will be to reflect and reminisce with very fond memories of the happy times and special friends we’ve made here.
I just wanted to take this moment and space to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you’ve shown me and my Little Cake Company over the years. Whether you ordered a bag of fudge or a towering showstopper I am truly humbled and grateful for your custom and friendship over the years.
I have learnt so much in the 7 years that I’ve been baking, honed skills I never knew were in me, had far too many late nights (more than I ever had in my teens and 20’s) and build so many relationships with customers and fellow cake artists all of whom have become unexpected treasured friends.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive and loyal through my good and not so happy times. To this day I am still blown away by the kindness you all showed my through both my parents last few years, from thoughtful cards, Prosecco and even the most incredible bouquet of flowers from the kindest group of mums at Russel House School. Genuinely you will never know how grateful I have been to all of you. Thank you one and all.
I’m excited to share the next part of our journey with you, the unboxing may take a while, there’s building work to be done and a new kitchen to get registered and don’t forget if you know anyone getting married in deepest darkest Kent you know where to send them for cake!!
Xx
