A special cake request for a joint husband & wife’s 60th birthday party at the weekend.
This was 4 layers of light vanilla sponge with a delicious strawberry jam & vanilla buttercream filling decorated with textured buttercream & finished with vanilla macarons.
Followed by a lovely message from my customer ‘that cake was absolutely delicious!’
A cake shouldn’t just look great it has to taste amazing as well 💕

Something special …………..
A tiered wedding cake or something different?
I’m finding that couples nowadays don’t always want the formality of a wedding cake, it may not suit their wedding style or they just want to sway away from tradition but they still want a showstopping sweet treat & a dessert cupcake tower is a perfect choice!
This stunning display included all of the couples favoruite desserts such as Sticky Toffee Pudding & Custard, Lemon Meringue Pie all warapped up in a delicious cupcake.
Who doesn’t love a cupcake 🥰

🎉 Butterfly Bakery Turns 6! 🎉

This month Butterfly Bakery is celebrating its 6th birthday! 🦋🎂

I want to say a huge thank you to every single customer who has supported my little business over the past six years. Whether you’ve ordered a birthday cake, wedding cake, cupcakes, or recommended me to family and friends, your support means the world to me.

It has been such a privilege to be part of so many special celebrations, and I’m incredibly grateful for every order, message, and kind word along the way.

It was such a pleasure to set this one up for a joint mum & daughter birthday celebration. On the left we had a lemon sponge with whipped lemon buttercream & lemon curd filling partnered with a chocolate sponge, vanilla buttercream & dreamy chocolate sauce on the right. Mum chose florals for her side & little Constance at the age of 1 loves her farmyard animals so the addition of this cute set from a local supplier were perfect.

The Perfect Cupcake! If there is such a thing, but I’m pretty fussy when it comes to mine. Making so many of them over the years I hardly ever eat them now but found myself today sitting down with a cuppa & eyeing up the one leftover from an order. Not sure how you eat yours but I like to cut mine in half & couldn’t help but admire this little beauty so thought it deserved to be in the spotlight today😂
Light fluffy vanilla bean sponge filled with a decent amount of raspberry jam topped off with creamy coconut buttercream, just the right amount & don’t forget the fresh raspberry on top! And yes it tastes as good as it looks as every cupcake should! 💕

Wedding samples have gone out today & usally any leftovers get popped in the freezer for the family but I thought maybe this time some of you may like to have some 🎂
I have 3 bags of 6 mixed flavour/size pieces available for collection today from me in Tiptree. Each piece is individually wrapped & can be frozen if you don’t want to eat them all at once! (yes buttercream cakes freeze lovely 👏).
