Wee reminder of how things are working this weekend

I am open Friday 4th and Saturday 5th but I will not be releasing menus beforehand, I will post a list once I'm open though of what you can find!

Sunday 6th I'm through in Wick at the Wellbeing Festival 11am to 3pm with the Cake Shed re-open with any left over stock once I'm home.

I will be posting the menu for Sunday soon and I'm taking pre-orders from this but collection likely won't be until Sunday or Monday. Depends what you're after as I'm leaving as much as late as possible to have things the freshest they can be

I have quite a few new items appearing this weekend including another Vegan option (this one is also GF), some autumnal flavours and then my usual staples

I'll be honest I'm a big fan of vintage cakes, especially vintage heart cakes. My first proper go of decorating a cake (almost a year ago now) was a PSL vintage heart cake for a Halloween party.

This time around however it was an absolute classic - Victoria Sponge. Vanilla sponge layers, strawberry jam then vanilla buttercream. Ordered as a surprise for a 60th birthday

I was given a few of the birthday girl's favourite colours to try and work in. I
was even brave and piped out the sixty using the transfer method for the second time

I'm missing lighter nights for getting natural light shots of finished cakes but we'll make do 😂

If the Cake Shed is open, it's posted up here. There will also be a neon sign in the window saying open, a black and white sign on the planter on the wall saying open and a sign on the gate turned the right way around so it says "welcome". Usually my flag out too and sometimes even a blackboard.

If I am closed the neon sign won't be on, the black and white sign will say closed and the sign on the gate says "emoclew" cause it's back to front.
The door to the shed will also be locked and there will be a pink plant pot in front of it blocking the door

I'm definitely glad people want to come by but if the sign says closed - I'm closed. (Plus there's no much left from this weekend anyway 😂)

I can't thank everyone enough who came by this weekend. I've never had to restock this much and it's a good feeling!

Cinnamon buns sold out twice. Kinder stuffed cookies sold out twice and I had just 2 Nutella cookies left out of two batches as well. Also two different types of brownie fully sold out!

If you've been by you might have noticed my wee notebook for anyone to leave suggestions/comments. What can be improved? What bakes do you like? What would you like to see? Completely optional but had some lovely comments already!

So this coming weekend I will be open Friday/Saturday but I may not have a set menu. I'm through in Wick at the North Highland Women's Wellness Hub Wellness Festival on Sunday with a (hopefully if everything works out) big menu so Fri/Sat will be a selection of bakes from this while I get prepared up and test some things out. Perfect for some treats if you're heading to Tunes by the Dunes!

Sunday's menu will be available for pre-order as soon as it's up later on in the week

I've never had a Sunday opening stock be as low as in the below picture so thank you again!

Open today with the last of things and my new change pot from Woodside Garden Centre here in Castletown

The old one was from there too, a little birthday present to myself last year but unfortunately I dropped it and caused a pretty nasty chip while closing on Saturday night so good excuse for a new one

Plus this one's pink which matches in 😂

I'm personally more a teal/blue person but chose pink as my business colour... I've got the teal accents though

Open until 10pm tonight, there's still a few things left but not much

Open tomorrow (Mon 31st) but there won't be any restock so whatever left tonight is unfortunately all there will be for this week

Back Friday 4th September with a new menu though! Open as usual Saturday then closed until Sunday evening as I'm in Wick for the Wellbeing Festival. Anything left from the festival will be out in the Shed Sunday afternoon/evening
