I popped the pinny back on this week to make this small semi-naked wedding cake for very good friends of mine. It’s a two tier salted caramel sponge, filled with salted caramel sauce and buttercream, finished with a sweep of milk chocolate ganache. Wishing the new Mr and Mrs Fraser a very long and happy marriage xx

Hello again hello! Is there anybody out there? Another very special family birthday came round last week! My lovely father-in-law Alasdair turned 90. Of course, I broke out of retirement to make a cake. The cake, the chair, is chocolate and I modelled Alasdair relaxing with his three Cherished great grandchildren around about him … and not forgetting our playful cavapoo Lady Lou Lou! Wishing him all the very best and many more years of happiness ###

I’m hoping you can still see me? Today’s a very special day, my lovely mother-in-law celebrated her 90th birthday. For a small family celebration I made a simple lemon drizzle cake with homemade lemon curd, and fresh cream in the numbers 9 & 0 I finished it with fresh local strawberries, homemade meringues, mallows and grated white chocolate. The perfect cake for a summers day? Her lovely wee great grandson Ollie helped her blow out the candles. Wishing Rita the best of birthday and hoping to share many more with her. Cheers to ninety years ❤️🥂

Is been a long time since I posed and I’m not sure if you can still see me? I came out of retirement to make this special treat. I loved making this cake for my husbands 60th birthday, so I thought I’d share it with you too to see what you think. It’s a chocolate baileys cake made to look like our dear little cavapoo Lou Lou.

Ten years ago Mr Cups and I began our Cups journey, we had such a great time. We renovated the old chapel at Scrabster with help from family and friends, built a business, designed our theme menus and welcomed so many lovely people to work with us in ‘The Tea Set’. We were honoured to receive several accolades from the Highland and Islands Food and Drink Awards, I was proud to win the Scottish Baker of the year award, we were featured in several magazines and was also interviewed for radio Scotland. I left the county to train with Paul Bradford at his sugar craft school outside Edinburgh, which, in turn allowed me to be part of so many special celebrations creating all kinds of fantastic cakes. We’ve made so many new friends and the business offered us many opportunities we never even dreamt of. During the whole time the tearoom was open we were number one on trip adviser in our area, which made ourselves and our hard working team very proud. It’s not been easy, Mr Cups and I worked very very hard to achieve all these things. This weekend I celebrated a special birthday, now it’s time to hang up my apron and relax. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and encouragement along the way. We could not have done it with out you. From a Teary Mrs Cups … Cheers my dears

As the our little fluffy friend would say …. ‘A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey in it ‘ Thank you all for your support and comments xx
