Holy crepe!! The weather has been awesome (though we were somewhat overheating working at the crepe rings the last couple of days), the people as always have been absolutely delightful and the FlipnFast team absolutely smashed it.

We always love this festival. It's so much easier to stand and make crepes for 15 hours when our customers are so lovely.

We hope to be back next year ๐Ÿ’š

Thank you

We are at in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. It's brilliant to see so many familiar faces now we're in our third year here.

This weekend's team are wonderful and we're all enjoying soaking in the chilled out happy vibes from everyone here while we flip our 'free from' crepes.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Scroll to see the outside of our horsebox as it finally makes its debut for FlipnFast!

Happy Monday from Tenbury Wells! We have moved, I have managed to organise a gas certificate. Thank you so much for all of the good wishes during the recent run of problems!

We are very much looking forward to one of our favourite views of the year and the 'feel good' vibes at The Big Retreat Festival this weekend in beautiful Pembrokeshire!

One of our team can no longer make it for this weekend, so if anybody would like, or knows someone who would like, to come and be our 'KP' for the weekend (Thursday PM to Tuesday AM), please drop us a message here for more info. Level 2 hygiene certificate required and driver with own car would be ideal should we need a stock run over the weekend. We provide tent, sleeping bags and food along with your pay.

Thank you ๐Ÿ™

I simply can't announce this in the usual jolly pink. So I used colours that reflect how I feel about it. And yes I am 100% relating to the term 'sounds like a broken record'.

Unfortunately due to troubles with getting the annual gas certificate sorted, I can't get to . Instead I am taking the horsebox and crepe rings to a far flung place where there is a gas engineer who will do this for me on a Sunday morning.

Although life is an absolute disaster at the minute, things will get back on track. The new HQ is fabulous and I'd already had a request to be part of an event in Tenbury Wells (sadly I had to say no as it's this Sunday and of course I'll be getting the gas certificate sorted).

Once everything has settled down and my run of bad luck switches to a period of things going right, I will do my best to book a weekend of work back up North, maybe a day in Durham and a day in Newcastle to make up for the last couple of weeks.

Please get yourselves to the vegan festival at on Saturday. Support the endeavours of organisers as they do so much and have achieved real change with their effective activism. There will, as always, be loads of absolutely wonderful local vegan businesses and you can enjoy even more of their food as you don't need to have room for a crepe.

I'm so sorry I can't be there ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

When things don't quite go as you'd hoped, sometimes that means making difficult decisions.

After travelling all over the UK for ten and a half years, being part of countless markets, festivals, carnivals, weddings and parties... I've just said goodbye to the pink pod that has been the face of FlipnFast since we started.

Fun times include getting stuck on a hill in the Lake District on our way to a wedding (a farmer used his tractor to get us to the top);ย  combining my love of surfing with flipping crepes for Surfers Against Sewage and at South Shields Beach Festival; watching a crepe ring go up in flames the first time I attempted to season it (not that hot, Anna!); getting the pod up and down steps to trade inside an abbey AND, of course, countless lovely conversations with strangers who sometimes became friends...

It won't be the same without the pod but perhaps the timing is appropriate as we begin a new chapter in Tenbury Wells.

I'm REALLY sorry as who knows when or if we will make it to Durham Market again, but I can't make things work to get there tomorrow.

Those who've read recent posts know that currently both trailers are out of action with major problems. Today I've had to take Penny to the vet with an injury. She's fine but it's just another problem taking up time and energy while I'm half way through moving!

Again I am sorry that we can't have our last day at the market. I'd like to say a big thank you to the team who run the markets, they do a wonderful job. Also to the traders at Durham who all have wonderful businesses and who do a lot themselves to promote the market.

The biggest thank you to everyone who's supported us at Durham, especially those who have been regular customers there. We will miss you!

When we had yet more bad trailer news on Thursday I was so close to giving up on getting to our first festival of the year... Thank goodness WE (this time it is not the royal we, I had a great deal of help) found the energy to make a backup plan and get ourselves down to Nottingham.

We have discovered that we love the music and the community at ! We enjoyed our weekend very much. And apparently the love was mutual... We're now booked for another Bluegrass festival in September!

I think as many people stopped by to say hello to the dogs as they did to sample our crepes! The dogs made many new friends and enjoyed the attention very much.

Thank you so much to , we hope to see you again next year!

Next.... Keep everything crossed that, (in between moving), we can get the horsebox on the road for . I really need some good fortune now!!

As for Durham on Saturday, it is looking doubtful but I will post an update when I know.

A behind the scenes photo, what a beautiful site we're at for !

And the reason it's a behind the scenes photo rather than showing off our new look...

We arrived here rather later than planned and minus the pink horsebox. We're in our gazebo instead.

When you're not an expert yourself it can be difficult to know who to trust. In a nutshell, one professional told me that the horsebox structure is sound and road safe (this before spending the money to rewire the interior, install solar kit etc).

Yesterday, just before we set off, a welder came to look at the pod chassis (which has literally snapped). Not knowing which trailer needed work, he went straight to the horsebox to look underneath. He declared that chassis in urgent need of repair and most definitely not safe to tow to Nottingham.

So, after processing this news, for the second week in a row we had to unpack and repack everything, which is frankly exhausting.

I'm not sure how I will finance major trailer repairs AND moving. But I have to...

My priority is to get the horsebox sorted and ready for the 16th May, as well as to hopefully start moving things to the new HQ next week.

I'm not sure it is worth the money to repair the pod... Big decisions to make!

However, here at Crossover the sound of wonderful acoustic music can be heard everywhere, people playing together in the campsite as well as in the main festival area. We have two happy dogs; this is O'Malley's first festival and he's made friends already.

Fingers crossed we sell a few crepes and I figure out a way to start moving next week as planned.

Sometimes life as a small business owner is hard but I wouldn't swap it for an office!
