A behind the scenes photo, what a beautiful site we're at for !
And the reason it's a behind the scenes photo rather than showing off our new look...
We arrived here rather later than planned and minus the pink horsebox. We're in our gazebo instead.
When you're not an expert yourself it can be difficult to know who to trust. In a nutshell, one professional told me that the horsebox structure is sound and road safe (this before spending the money to rewire the interior, install solar kit etc).
Yesterday, just before we set off, a welder came to look at the pod chassis (which has literally snapped). Not knowing which trailer needed work, he went straight to the horsebox to look underneath. He declared that chassis in urgent need of repair and most definitely not safe to tow to Nottingham.
So, after processing this news, for the second week in a row we had to unpack and repack everything, which is frankly exhausting.
I'm not sure how I will finance major trailer repairs AND moving. But I have to...
My priority is to get the horsebox sorted and ready for the 16th May, as well as to hopefully start moving things to the new HQ next week.
I'm not sure it is worth the money to repair the pod... Big decisions to make!
However, here at Crossover the sound of wonderful acoustic music can be heard everywhere, people playing together in the campsite as well as in the main festival area. We have two happy dogs; this is O'Malley's first festival and he's made friends already.
Fingers crossed we sell a few crepes and I figure out a way to start moving next week as planned.
Sometimes life as a small business owner is hard but I wouldn't swap it for an office!
