How cute are these?! This weekend we're delivering a luxury Afternoon Tea for a group of Hens celebrating an upcoming wedding with the bride-to-be.

These little edible scoopers will be served with delicate shot glasses of creamy Lemon Posset, a favourite of the weekends' leading lady.

An Afternoon Tea is a great addition to a Hen Party, perfect for slotting into a busy day of frivolity. As with every private booking, we love working with customers to design the perfect menu which meets their budget, caters for any dietary requirements, and always includes ingredients and elements tailored to the people or person at the heart of the celebration. From recrecreating a favourite dish in sandwich form to cooking up a bespoke batch of jam to accompany the scones, the ways we can personalise an Afternoon Tea are almost endless.

If an event is local we deliver for free, and can even stick around to serve the Tea for you. Or if the party is further afield, like it is this weekend, we will pack everything up safely for travel and deliver it to you before you leave.

Yes, it's only August and you're seeing a Christmas post already, but we promise it's for a good reason!

We've got some exciting plans in store for later in the year, and pulling off exciting plans requires thorough advance planning, even if that means thinking about the festive season during the summer holidays.

We're looking for a small group of volunteers who would be up for helping us finalise our Christmas offers over the next couple of months. Tasks would include...

- Taste testing various recipes, for a range of different purposes, and giving your honest feedback
- Helping us decide on pricing for the festive range
- Sharing ideas for how we can best promote our Christmas products

This is an unpaid, voluntary opportunity but you will be getting your hands on plenty of free food, enough for you and your family to enjoy together, plus some exclusive discounts on the final products when they are made available later in the year.

Is there anything better than a decadent chocolate brownie?!

Here’s a big batch of Twix Brownies in progress, ready for The Langport Artisan Market on Saturday.

Rich brownie encloses a load of Twix bars, making for a delicious combination of chocolate, biscuit, and caramel. We’ll be finishing these off with chocolate frosting, Twix pieces, and homemade caramel sauce - to see how they look you’ll have to come and find us on Saturday!

As normal, our small boxes cost £5, medium are £9, and a large box is £16. Come along, pick a box size, and then choose whichever Afternoon Tea elements you’d like to complete your Pick & Mix Tea.

This Saturday we're joining The Langport Artisan Market for the first time, and preparations are in full swing to bring together anotner fantastic menu for our Pick & Mix Aftertoon Tea.

This slab of rough puff pastry is being rolled and folded today ready to be used in one of our savoury items - Smoked Salmon & Horseradish Tartlets. Delicate squares of our crisp homemade pastry is topped with delicious mixture of crème fraiche, dijon mustard, cream cheese, horseradish, and west country smoked salmon. The finished tartlets are bitesized delights of creamy savouriness!

As always when you visit our market stall, you choose one of our 3 container sizes, select the Afternoon Tea elements you'd like to fill it, and then pay the fixed price for the container you've chosen.

We're really excited to be joining everyone in Langport on Saturday, and hope to see you there

Afternoon Tea couldn't be complete with Scones, Cream, and this beautiful jam.

Our "House Jam", which we'll be bringing to eat Festivals in Honiton tomorrow, is the best Strawberry Jam around (if we say so ourselves). Packed with plump, juicy strawberries, we add fresh basil, black peppercorns and the very best balsamic vinegar to create a finished jam which is sweet but pleasantly tangy too. The basil adds a complexity to the flavour, making it delicately floral and extra summery. Black pepper is well known for its affinity with strawberries, and while we keep a tight rein on the pepperiness in our jam, it definetely adds to the depth of flavour and helps to avoid it becoming excessively sweet.

That is a whole lot of detail about some Strawberry Jam, but if nothing else it shows how focussed and passionate we are about everything we serve in our Afternoon Teas!

Come and find our Pick & Mix stall in Honiton tomorrow to pick up a mini pot of this fabulous jam, along with our homemade scones and homemade clotted cream. Our small box - just £5 - will fit 2 scones with jam and cream, perfect if you're just after a Cream Tea. Or go for our medium (£9) or large (£16) boxes to include some of our stunning sandwiches, savouries, and/or sweets too.

What do you think of this simple, elegant Strawberry Cheesecake? Looks smooth & creamy with a crunchy, buttery base right?

All that is certainly true, but this is in fact a Vegan Strawberry Cheesecake! Thanks to Philadelphia UK & Ireland's Vegan Cream Cheese and The Coconut Collaborative's amazing double cream alternative, we've been able to develop a luxurious individual cheesecake for the group of vegan clients who have booked a private afternoon tea for this weekend.

Here's another sneak preview of something we'll have on offer in Honiton this weekend - Banoffee Choux Buns!

Choux Pastry, freshly baked in the small hours before we set off to the event, and filled with caramel, fresh banana, and banana Crême Diplomat. Then a banana icing is drizzled over the top and, you guessed it, a crunchie slice of dried banana is the finishing touch.

For just £5 you can get yourself our smallest container and takeaway one of these beauties plus another couple of choices from all the options we'll have on the stall.

As it's our debut at eat Festivals this Saturday in Honiton, we're bringing out the big guns when it comes to our menu...

By far the most popular sandwich is this - our luxury Crab Brioche. A mix of west country white and brown crab meat, homemade mayo, wholegrain mustard, a load of fresh herbs, and a dash of brandy make for a rich and decadent filling. And there's only one choice to bear that filling - our beautiful mini Brioche Rolls.

Come and find us at the eat Festival in Honiton to get your hands on one of these bad boys while they last! We'll have four different sandwiches, a pair of excellent savoury bites, scones with jam and HOMEMADE clotted cream, plus four different sweet treats - come on by, choose your container size, and then fill it with your own perfect combination of our amazing, fully homemade food.

I’m very lucky to have such a supportive family. True, they do benefit from lots of leftovers and trial-runs to eat, but it’s great when they are up for getting more involved.

If you’ve seen us at Taunton Independent Market over the last couple of months you may well have been served by this young man, my younger brother Noah.

Only 12, Noah puts in a full 11 hours of work on a market day, and is an absolute superstar whether he’s helping customers or working behind the scenes.

I’m a very proud, and very appreciative, big brother and I thought he deserves a public shout out!

Really excited to be joining eat Festivals in Honiton at the weekend, and we're bringing along a menu of the most popular Afternoon Tea Elements enjoyed by customers at other events lately.

One of them are these super-striking Watermelon, Cucumber & Feta skewers - simple but beautiful and really refreshing on a summery day.

Our Pick & Mix Afternoon Tea stall will have a whole selection of Sandwiches, Savouries (like these skewers), Scones, and Sweets - all freshly homemade from scratch. You can choose between a Small (£5), Medium (£9), or Large (£16) box and fill it with your choice of the elements on offer.

Next Saturday we'll be joining eat Festivals in Honiton for the first time!

The menu is all worked out, and one of the four sweet treats we'll have on offer is this phenomenal Courgette, Pistachio, and Lemon Cake.

The sponge is rich with ground pistachio, giving the cake a striking green colour, and is given a texture similar to Carrot Cake with the addition of grated courgette. Completing the top of the cake is a combination of tart lemon icing, silky homemade Lemon Curd, pieces of homemade candied peel, and a sprinkling of chopped pistachio.

Come find us on Honiton High Street on the 17th August and build your own box of Afternoon Tea including scrumptious sweet treats like this, as well as luxurious sandwiches, delicious savoury bites, and of course freshly baked scones with homemade jam and cream.

Preparation is well underway for our USA-themed menu at Taunton Independent Market tomorrow.

Excited for you to try these Jalapeño Poppers - crunchy peppers, stuffed with a cheesy bacon filling. Next they will be coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried.
