I am incredibly grateful to Gavin Musgrove Westfit kitchens for doing lots of little jobs at mine recently.

I’ve had my fair share of handymen over the years (not like that 🤣) but I have to say, Gavin is by far one of the best.

If anyone wants anything doing, I can recommend Gavin. He can fit kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, tiling and the rest. Nothing is too much trouble, he turns up early and doesn’t over charge like so many others do.

I always have a list of little jobs that need doing and I love it when I get them all ticked off! I never realised home improvements is a passion of mine, alongside baking of course!

So thank you Gavin and I hope you and your family enjoy the freshly baked cheese scones!

Here is my menu for Saturday 17th October.

My classic mint 💚 crunch and plain Australian crunch are both back! 😊 Millionaires is also featuring again, along with my delicious chocolate orange 🍊 rocky road. Tesco’s have them on a promotion at the moment and my fridge has over a dozen to incorporate into my weekly menus!! 🤣 Lucky the children aren’t keen on them!

If I get time I would love to also include my new boiled fruit cake slices with cherries as you requested 🍒 If you want this, please pop a pre order in.

There’s a couple of Halloween 🎃 themed bakes and my custard cream brookies will have swirls of M&S spread in them, but please note this spread does contain nuts.

Who likes Belgium chocolate praline sea shells? These will be loaded in my brownies! My spooky brownies will have chunks of white chocolate in them and Halloween sprinkles on top. My new Rice Krispie caramel slices will be similar to my millionaires and I can’t wait to try one!

All my bakes are made in a domestic kitchen handling all 14 allergens so please bear this in mind when visiting my cake shed.

There’s something quite delicious about an old fashioned boiled fruit cake.

Autumn 🍂 has arrived and I wanted to show you my delicious fruit cake recipe which is made by simmering dried fruit with margarine, brown sugar, ground nutmeg and mixed spice. I threw in some chopped walnuts too. You could add cherries 🍒 or some chopped dates even!

Super moist and yummy. Would you like to see this in my cake shed?

I baked mine in Lakeland’s 1Ib smaller tins. I love the liners you can buy as well. They were cooked in under an hour on a low heat. Really pleased with them. They taste heavenly and offer a healthy alternative to my chocolate bakes! 😊

‼️ 3.5K & 600 POSTS IN 8 MONTHS‼️
Yay!!! 🥳 Firstly, a big welcome to all my new followers and customers. I’ve hit my 3.5K target and it’s a great feeling! 🎉

I am NOT on any other social media platforms like most bakers. “Content creation” as they call it, is a completely new concept to me. I am literally making it up as I go along! 🤣

Obviously, a huge thank you to those of you who have been there from the beginning or joined me on my journey. You have helped me grow in confidence and inspired me in so many ways. Hearing your personal stories and sharing the ups and downs of everyday life is all part of it. Your loyalty is genuinely appreciated ❤️

I have already planned next weekend’s menu! Will be releasing tomorrow unless you want a sneaky peak now?

There will be more Millionaires shortbread. To compliment that and something for the children, I am planning on doing a Halloween caramel Krispie! My homemade caramel sauce is a real hit and there will be lots of spooky sprinkles this weekend. I am not the most creative, but my cakes taste good which is what matters! ✅

There’s something new with the brownies, Belgium Sea Shells! There’s also a custard cream brookie using the new M&S custard cream spread! Below is a picture of my chocolate orange 🍊 rocky road which is also making a reappearance. It’s seriously good if you haven’t tried it. That’s enough revealed for now.

Morning! ⚠️ 3 LEFT ⚠️

Who’s been lucky enough to try my dark chocolate 🍫 rock cakes? Having just worked a night, I really fancied one of these warm! So I whipped up a batch and voila!

These have a sprinkle of brown linseed in them as they are high in dietary fibre and good for your bowels! 💩

Sorry, you can’t take the nurse 👩‍⚕️ out of me haha!! 😛 It’s nice to have something in the shed that’s good for your gut and I also plan on doing my boiled fruit cake slices again soon.

Anyway, I will be selling a pack of 5 freshly made dark chocolate rock cakes for £10 from 12.30 today as I need to have a little sleep 💤 first.
