My daughter angel and I started baking years ago when she was a toddler. We would bake for fun and as a way to spend quality time together. Angel has cerebral palsy so we can't do as many of the things regular families can. Now she is a teenager we still bake for fun but we also bake to raise money for an operation Angel desperately needs to help her walk. You can read more on her page; angel burton - twinkletoes.

Hello everyone, a quick catch up post to let you know what the bakery is planning this year.
Firstly, thank you for all the orders and positive feedback. It’s been great fun and kept us busy. We set the business up during the first lockdown but it became increasingly difficult to find the time for sourdough, as we went back to our jobs and the girls went back to school and college.
I have just started a new job last week, which means the 48 hour process for sourdough is impossible.
Going forward we may be able to continue to supply the pastries if there is enough interest and complement them with fresh yeasted bread, which is a much quicker process, although this isn’t really safe in the current COVID climate.
Take care and stay safe. Co-op do a sourdoughish loaf and reasonable pastries and we should also try and support Amy’s in the village too. Xx

Evening all, chocolate panettone are resting this evening and we will deliver tomrrow morning.

Unfortunately the fruit ones haven’t passed quality control - delicious and perfectly edible if anyone’s desperate but not prefect!
We are going to rebake for delivery on Monday morning.

The sunken one is the fruit, choc ones are good!

Our Story

Now she is a teenager we still bake for fun but also to give her valuable experience for a possible career in the food industry.

I am now a ‘Bread Angel ‘and in the process of setting up a business to sell bread and run courses to teach breadmaking the natural and healthy way.
