Hello everyone, a quick catch up post to let you know what the bakery is planning this year.
Firstly, thank you for all the orders and positive feedback. It’s been great fun and kept us busy. We set the business up during the first lockdown but it became increasingly difficult to find the time for sourdough, as we went back to our jobs and the girls went back to school and college.
I have just started a new job last week, which means the 48 hour process for sourdough is impossible.
Going forward we may be able to continue to supply the pastries if there is enough interest and complement them with fresh yeasted bread, which is a much quicker process, although this isn’t really safe in the current COVID climate.
Take care and stay safe. Co-op do a sourdoughish loaf and reasonable pastries and we should also try and support Amy’s in the village too. Xx
