Starting us off strong with the Maple & Pecan Latte 🍁☕️

👀 Our plan, is to monitor the analytics for the sales of said specials and come Mid November the winning syrup will get to stay year round 😀

🤔As much as we'd love the keep them all, we just don't have the space, we have around 30 sat on the side currently 🤣🤣🤣

Morning kids! 🍂

Just a few things today, we have 'Thats What She Read' book club this evening from 7.30pm until close. This is a very busy book club so just a heads up the seating will be likely be limited to upstairs and outside around this time but all are welcome ☕️🍰📚

We have some beautiful new bookish stationary ready to get out for you from a lovely independent company called Hopscotch. We will be looking to source stationary from multiple different independent sources as time goes on 😀

Silver tree pastries are waiting for us today, we have cinnamon swirls, maple & pecan danish, cherry danish, Raspberry & white choc cruffin, Cumberland sausage rolls, spiced lamb roll and cheese and onion turnovers :)

We also have plenty of cookie pies, fudge bars and make lovely cakes as usual for you 😋 so don't miss out!

Also, I'm feeling OK so I'll be back so thats nice for you all 😂

🤔 Well...being ill while self employed has been a reality check. Now don't get me wrong I've had days I've felt rough and I've been able to carry on but the last 48 hours it just wasn't possible 😪

I'm very fortunate to have staff who are amazing and have been able to alter plans to do the hours I normally would else we would have had to close for a couple of days which in turn would have been a very expensive albeit necessary, sick day.

Let it be known, if your self-employed friends ever have to cancel appointments or close their stores temporarily, it's only after they've had a small mental breakdown at around 7am and have considered every other option possible before they let people down or panic arrange staff 🤣...if only we could have the foresight to know we'd get a bug like 2 weeks in advance 🙃

Anyway...I'm leaving the shop in Jess & Annabel's capable hands today so look after them for me. There's 4 boxes of new books for them to play with that I've dropped off after the school run this morning 📚

Enough from me, I'm finishing my soup and going back to bed 😞

📖 Just a reminder that our reading challenge is coming to an end. We have organised our goody bags from the fabulous Wyldes and they will be collected this week to start giving them out from this Saturday 5th 🍬

We will continue to give them out until the following Saturday to give our competitors a good chance to redeem their sweeties and get their names in for the big prize ❤️

Morning lovelies 🍂 Happy 1st September 🍂

Just thought I'd pop a post on with our opening hours as a refresh now we're coming out of the summer hols ☀️

Also, just a little note, I won't be in today as I'm not well so please be kind to my lovely staff who are keeping the place going without me today ❤️

🍰 It is cake delivery day too so should be plenty of yummy treats for you from The Real Cake Company & Ooh, Fudge it although I've had to mess them around a little this morning too as I wasn't sure if we could open at all, so please bear with the team if the treats are not out and ready on display when the door opens 😊

Stitch & bitch is on tonight from 6pm as normal, all adult crafters welcome, just grab a drink or a sweet treat and get stuck in ☕️
