Matlock National Autistic Society Charity Event — Leftover Bake Sale

Today I was honoured to be part of a fundraising event in Matlock for the National Autistic Society, who help raise money to support autistic children and their families.

Me and the organiser poured our hearts into making the day special — but sadly, the turnout was a lot lower than expected, and I’ve been left with over 200 freshly baked portions of cake and treats.

These bakes were all made fresh this morning, and they’re simply too good to go in the bin. If you’re able to support I’d be so, so grateful. ☺️ 💛

This 6” four-layer vanilla sponge cake is as fluffy as it gets, but the real highlight? A custom topper featuring the birthday man as a cartoon, standing proudly next to his dream car: a classic 6R4. 🏁🚗

Because when you love cars this much, even your cake deserves to rev things up a notch!

Why have one flavor when you can enjoy two cakes in one? The base layer of this lovely creation is classic red velvet with cream cheese frosting, while the top brings soft vanilla cake with silky vanilla buttercream.

Made with love for the sweetest mummy-to-be 🧸 and safe to say, it arrived in one piece (phew)!

It’s been a while, so apologies for the social media silence. But, honestly, what better way to come back than with this cutie reminding me of sunny days and cozy afternoons?

Baking this cake brought a bit of light back into these chilly days (and who doesn’t love a touch of caffeine in their dessert?).
Think of it as a little slice of summer with a hint of Christmas spice. Speaking of, why was the Christmas tree so bad at knitting? Because it kept dropping its needles! 🎄😂
