It has completely flown byā€¦hope your summer has been a good one.ā™„ļø Thank you for this week, itā€™s bit quieter (even the street!), looks like weā€™re officially going into the rainy season too so Iā€™ll be posting update if I can open on Friday based on the forecast. ā˜”ļø

Itā€™s OPENšŸŒŸ Today 28th August now until 8pm.

Happy Friday guysšŸ„³ Omg where has August gone? Canā€™t believe summer holiday is almost ending tooā€¦well Iā€™ve baked these goodies to keep up the spirit:

šŸ°Strawberry & Rhubarb Angel Cake Slice
šŸ§Apricot Angel Cake Slice
šŸŖBrown Butter Matcha & White Chocolate Cookie (NYC Style)

Ā£3 each, any 4 for Ā£10.šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³ All freshly baked.

Angel cake is made with the beautiful strawberry & rhubarb jam from Little bag of herbs , decorated to the classic pink & white look! Iā€™ve also baked some in apricot jam. Hope you enjoy it. ā™„ļø

And I should totally use brown butter more, it makes the matcha cookie so moreish, adding that extra depth in flavour.šŸ˜‹ (Iā€™m still very big on matcha, will never give it up in my life!)šŸµ

šŸ¶You can also find Pawreoā€™s Pantry dog treats in the honesty box, handcrafted and made with all natural ingredients from Cotswolds. šŸ¾

Beginning of this year, I learned a Japanese word ā€œIkigaiā€, a concept meaning ā€œreason for beingā€ or meaning of life. And I figured for me, my Ikigai is ā€œto createā€. Thatā€™s why I always would want to and will try my best to find time for it!

Itā€™s important to recognise that whether we love our job or not, we are never defined by our job titles. Itā€™s about living fully, having sense of purpose in everyday life, and finding that joy. I didnā€™t think Iā€™d share this here but today made me reflect a bit. šŸ˜†

Iā€™m so happy with where I am: a slow, steady and reliable growth within the local area! Maybe one day Iā€™ll change my mind about this, but I feel like the present is the best possible reality I could ask for.

It all started with this Ā£20 hand mixer that is not even mineā€¦and itā€™s still goingšŸ¤Æ. Crazy as it sounds, this and all the mixing bowls are actually Mattā€™s! (If you donā€™t know who Matt is, scroll back exactly 21 postsšŸ˜‰.)

šŸŽ™ļøThe confession is that Iā€™m not very good at spending on myself even on something I like or want. It always circles back to ā€œdo I really NEED it?ā€, but recently Iā€™ve been looking at some stand mixers that can fit into our small busy kitchen.šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³ Will keep you updated when I get it and share my reviews!

My dream house is to have a huge kitchen with an island & american double door fridge. Iā€™m jealous of any of you get to own one alreadyšŸ„¹.

šŸŒŸAt the end of the day, itā€™s a reminder of donā€™t forget to spoil ourselves sometimes if we are lucky enough to be in the position to do so.
