My latest bake for a very special lady’s 90th birthday… my Nan 🥰

A four layer 6” Vanilla sponge, filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream.
Decorated in vanilla butter cream, tinted with pink streaks, gold leaf and silk roses, gold baubles and fans.

My FIRST Lindt ball cake!

This cake was made for a very special person’s birthday… MY DAD!

It was made up of four layers of sponge, alternating between chocolate and vanilla.
It contained chocolate spread between each layer and was covered in chocolate buttercream, dark chocolate drip.
Topped with a mixture of closed and opened milk chocolate Lindt balls.

It’s been a few months since I made a birthday cake…

This one is for Miss Daisy’s 4th Birthday.

I named this cake’s recipe after her, when I discovered it’s allergy friendly ingredients and went on to make her 1st birthday cake using it… I can’t believe we’re on cake number 4 already 😱🥰

This ‘Daisy’s Chocolate Cake’ was decorated using her latest obsession, Barbie, and as it’s July… of course Barbie needed to be at the beach.

It was finished in chocolate frosting, tinted vanilla frosting and crushed digestive biscuits.

This bake was a joy and honour to do…

For the marriage of my sister-in-law, and her fiancé, Steve, I was asked if I would bake them 72 cupcakes for their wedding reception.

I won’t take credit for the main cake, as that wonderful 4 tiered fruitcake was made by my amazing mother-in-law, Angela.

The cupcakes were x24 of:
Lemon sponge, with a lemon curd centre and lemon buttercream.

Vanilla sponge, with a strawberry jam centre and vanilla buttercream.

Red Velet sponge, with vanilla buttercream

These were all topped with handmade fondant sunflowers.

All ready for tomorrow’s party…

My little boy wanted a ‘Mario Kart’ cake for his birthday party.
So, mummy made him… an 8” square vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla frosting inside.

Decorated in fondant and handmade fondant ‘Mario Kart’ features.

When your little man goes to bed saying ‘Tomorrow is my birthday and that’s when people sing ‘Happy Birthday’ with cake…’

😱🤦‍♀️ mummy thinks…. Uh oh! I wasn’t planning on making a cake for tomorrow… I was gunna wait until your party on Saturday….

Well mummy decided to deliver on a wish and whipped you up a quick one whilst you slept… 🥰 Happy Birthday my special boy, love you ###

The cake I made for my girl’s 7th birthday!

X4 Layered 8” funfetti & vanilla sponge. Decorated with jam, plain buttercream, tinted buttercream piping and unicorn accessories.

First bake of 2023!

Single 8” layer of ‘Daisy’s Chocolate Vegan Sponge’, decorated with Chocolate buttercream, milk chocolate drip, Kinder Bueno pieces, Cadbury’s Caramel eggs, gold sprinkles and topped with a ‘birthday’ topper.

2nd Christmas Cake.
I made and gifted this to my sister… who absolutely loves Rich Fruit Cake.

This cake was made using the Mary Berry’s Rich Fruit Cake recipe.
I adjusted the recipe to make a smaller 6” version.

I decorated with marzipan and white fondant. Finishing with red star fondant decorations, edible silver beads and a cupcake case to form the design of a festive bauble.
