Earlier this month we had the opportunity to donate brownie and cookie slices for gift bags at a Ladies Afternoon Tea fundraiser held at Llanerch Vineyard in support of Bowel Cancer UK 💙🤎

The organisers were looking for local businesses to help fill the bags, and we knew we wanted to be involved ✨

With only two days notice and arriving home from holiday the same day baking started 😅, it definitely turned into a busy few days behind the scenes.

Brownies and cookies were baked the same day we got back, packed late into the evening, and delivered before 9am on the Sunday morning ready for the event ✨

Running a business can be chaotic at times, but being able to support events and causes like this always makes it worth it 🤎

Behind every baker is at least one “how did I forget that?!” moment 🤦‍♀️😂

Today’s lesson at Brookie Bites… don’t forget the eggs before mixing the dough 🥚🍪

Safe to say the texture wasn’t quite giving what it was supposed to 😅 but that’s the reality of baking, sometimes things go wrong, you learn, laugh, and start again.

Perfection doesn’t happen without a few messy moments in the kitchen 👩‍🍳✨

Thankfully the next batch was back to being the gooey, delicious Brookies we all know and love 🤎

It all started with a Mini Eggs cookie tray I made for fun… 🍪🍫

I had no plans to start a business, but after making it, my partner and step-kids told me I should go for it… and here we are 👀

Now it’s grown into Brookie Bites. Brownies, cookies and everything in between 💛

Crazy how one small idea can turn into something so much bigger ✨
