Home for Jessie’s Cottage Cakes is in an area of natural beauty, the Gower Peninsula, with the beautiful coastline just a stone’s throw away from the Farm. I left my job as a Stockbroker, and moved down to Rhossili in June 2013, to live with my now husband Tom (married in Oct ’15), who farms Great Pitton Farm. I am now a mum of 3, a farmer’s daughter from Shropshire, and have been brought up on ho

memade traditional food, with my Mum’s Sunday roast being a favourite; this was reflected when all my friends arriving conveniently every Sunday at 12.30pm. Living on a farm all my life, and now with my farming husband, food is very important for the energy levels and especially a sweet treat and this is where I first discovered my love for baking and Tom is not complaining! When I first moved to the area, I worked part-time for various catering establishments, baking cakes early in the morning. After circa 8 months, I took on a full time job as Reception Manager at The Oxwich Bay Hotel, which quenched my thirst for organisation and management, however, after 18 months, my love of baking and having my own business drove me to leave this position and go back to my passion. I bakes from home, in my Farmhouse kitchen, with the help of my loyal Aga.

Our Story

Home for Jessie’s Cottage Cakes is in an area of natural beauty, the Gower Peninsula, with the beautiful coastline just a stone’s throw away from the Farm.

I am Jess, founder of JCC’s and passionate about baking! I have a wonderful husband called Tom (farmer) and two children, Isabel (3) and Henry (1), who all keep me busy.

I started my business in 2015, before I had children - my aim was to always keep it simple - therefore I decided to do “cakes by post”, and I’ve never looked back.

All my cakes are baked in our farmhouse, packed up, gift wrapped and posted all over the UK - its wonderful sending cakes and receiving people’s feedback (makes those days when the children aren’t coop-orating worthwhile!!)
