Honey cake layers with my classic sour cream, lemon curd and blueberry compote.🫐🍋
This flavour has been on my list of things to add to my menu since our wedding in 2023.
Yep, our wedding cake (which I did myself) was a honey cake with lemon curd and blueberries.
Not a flavour you don’t see everywhere, but that's for a reason! It’s simply delicious! Blueberries are my favourite fruit and with a combination of lemon… just a perfect combination! No wonder when I was deciding (yes, my husband left that to me ☺️) the flavour for our wedding cake, blueberry and lemon combinations was the first choice! And of course I had to pair it with my honey cake, cause that is my favourite cake!
So, finally, I got around to it and made this flavour for my cake menu! It did take me some time (since 2023 😅)… life… and I did have to make some changes too. But it’s finally here!
