Chocolate cake... 😋

But this isn’t any ordinary chocolate cake...
..this is a plant based, vegan chocolate cake!

Wanted to show you all how good this looked as vegan food sometimes gets bad press.

But this smells delicious and looks like “a proper cake” 🍰

Baking Bug is back in the kitchen after a lovely summer beak.
Hope you all had a good summer! ☀️

It was a real privilege to get to make this cake last week for Paul’s 66th birthday: his long awaited Pension Day! 🥳

Delicious Vanilla Sponge with handmade sugar crafted figures made to look like the birthday boy himself. (Glasses are so hard to do!!)

Let’s hope Paul enjoyed his day and is able to start taking things a bit easier in life- I dare say he deserves it! 👏

Huge thank you to all of my lovely customers this year so far. You’ve asked me to make some beautiful cakes for your celebrations and I’ve loved helping to make your ideas come to life - and hopefully taste good too!

Taking a summer break this year so the baking bug kitchen is closed until September. I shall reply to any messages as and when I get a chance but possibly not until September so please don’t think I’m ignoring you- just having a summer break 🙂

Hellloooooooo Lemon Cake 🤤 😋 🍋 🎂

Another one from a few weeks ago- this cake turned out beautiful and smelt fantastic!!

Can’t get any better than baking with fresh lemons and this delicious buttermilk recipe.

Ombré butter icing on the side and topped with Lindt White chocolates - pure cake pleasure!

This one was from a couple of weeks ago and was for a 10year old who I’ve made many cakes for over the years. (I can’t quite believe she’s 10!!) - I’ll try and pop the first cake I made for her in the comments…

Here’s one from FIVE YEARS ago!!

Huge Happy Anniversary to the bride and groom; my sister, Natalie and her hubby Andrew.

This was a huge four tiered fruit cake with handmade butterflies wrapping around the cake from bottom to top and adorned with handmade, sugar crafted roses. Hours of work but utterly Gorgeous!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of making this beautiful wedding cake for a gorgeous Bride & Groom!

It’s the first time I’ve hand painted a cake and I think you’ll agree the gold looks pretty spectacular!

Love the fresh Petunias too- really matched the spectacular venue and beautiful Northumberland countryside.
