Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas!

This year’s traditional fruit cakes feature Lambeth piping in royal icing, a classic decorative technique with a timeless (and very durable), elegant finish.

Each year I approach these cakes a little differently, sometimes with sugar-craft or floral details, and this style is something clients don’t often see from me.

Handcrafted sugar dahlias, delicate white wafer leaves and soft fondant draping.

In the darker months, thoughtful use of whites, texture and movement can bring an elevated brightness to your wedding décor.

Sugar flowers are my sculptural ode the natural flower, and I never tire of making them.

I’m Lucy, the baker and designer behind Butter & Blossom, creating elegant cakes for weddings and special celebrations across Suffolk and beyond.

Butter & Blossom began back in 2016( as Sweetie Cakes & Toppers), born from a love of baking and a simple desire to create something both beautiful and delicious from scratch. Over the years, the business has grown and evolved alongside me, from kitchen-table beginnings to refined, design-led cakes that celebrate natural beauty, detail, and craftsmanship.

What started as a creative outlet has truly become a calling, and I still feel so lucky to be doing what I love.
