Today marks the end of an era. After 10 years in 3 different locations, Cake and the Country closes its doors today. Thank you to all my wonderful customers - it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you on your celebration cakes. Onward to my next adventure.

What a weekend! We were event managers at a 2-day wedding just outside Eastington; day one with 100 guests who were served a selection of gorgeous canapes, salads and wedding cake, day 2 for 55 guests who were served cottage pie and mac n cheese. Many thanks to BlueMotion Hospitality for providing superb staff, SRG Catering for the fabulous canapes that were devoured in seconds! Chef - Jay Halford for the gorgeous vegetarian wellingtons and speciality salads - I've never heard such great comments! The Artisan Baker - Organic Bakery for wonderful fresh breads and burger buns, Lynne Jessett Floristry for the floral wreath which set off the wedding cake, Gloucester Event Hire Ltd.. for the top class cutlery, crockery and serving dishes, sous chef Ryan Stinchcombe for his hard work and professionalism and the mac n cheese which disappeared in seconds. Wonderful to work with such professional people. Oh and, of course, 4 tier wedding cake (Victoria sponge, coffee & pecan and fresh lemon) provided by your's truly Cake and the Country and finished with a bespoke topper by Character Creations Looking for whole event management for your next special occasion?
