As part of the celebrations, which included the unveiling of the blue plaque on the late Reverend Awdry OBE home, I was delighted to be asked to make Thomas’s birthday cake for this occasion.

One trainer was a chocolate hazelnut flavour and the other was a white chocolate and raspberry.
