Our Woolpit Shop - The Bread Bin ....is now Open 8.30am till 3pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am till 1pm on Saturdays.

For Takeaway…. FILLED ROLLS, HOT DRINKS & PIES, JACKET POTATOES, BACON ROLLS, SALADS, CHEESY NACHOS & PASTA BOWLS

We sell a wide range of Artisan Bread 🍞 baked by our Craft Bakers at Haughley in our Ancient Brick Ovens. As well as a wide range of Cakes, Sausage Rolls and Savoury items they produce Filled Rolls & Sandwiches 🥪 , Hot Bacon Rolls & Pies, Toasted Sandwiches, Salad Bowls, Meal Deals and Hot & Iced Cold Drinks.

They sell a wide range of Tiptree Jams, Local Eggs & Honey, Flours and Yeast and Birthday Cakes made to order 🎂 as well as many other items 🍯

Situated in The Street there is Free Parking outside and they can be contacted on 01359242700 ☎️

HAUGHLEY OPEN GARDENS 🌺

Will take place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June 2026 from 11am till 5pm. 🌼

On Sunday 21st June the grounds of The White Haughley will also be open to the public for Cream Teas 🍰 accompanied by the Scintillo Quartet 🎵 by kind permission of The Palmer Family.

Over the two days a few gardens of varying sizes will be open around the village with entry by programme available from the Church.

Will take place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June 2026 from 10am till 5pm. 🌼

Over the two days a few gardens of varying sizes will be open around the village with entry by programme available from the Church.

Additionally on the Sunday, Cream Teas 🍰 will be served from 11am till 4pm in the grounds of the Palmer Family Residence since 1892, The White House accompanied by the Scintillo String Quartet by kind permission of the family 🌺

It’s Maundy Thursday and we’re working like Easter 🐣 Bunny’s crafting your Hot Cross Buns & Hot Cross Bun Loaves by hand to our old family recipe before baking them in our ancient brick ovens 🐣

Since 1869 they’ve been made this way using local flour, yeast, spices, dried fruits and mixed peel; they taste amazing spread with butter, lemon curd or honey 🍯 and even better made into Hot Cross Bun Bread & Butter Pudding!

Hot Cross Buns first appeared around 600AD in St Albans and mark the end of Lent. The Cross represents the Crucifixion of Christ, the spices the aromatic herbs he was embalmed in and the orange peel is for the bitterness for his time spent on the Cross.

We’re Open today and Easter Saturday but closed on Good Friday, Easter Day & Easter Monday 🌸

It’s our 157th Easter 🐣 Week and our Craft Bakers are hard at work making your Easter Bread and confectionery for you all as we have done for generations.

From Sour Doughs, Olive, Spelt and Marmite Breads to White, Wholemeal and Granary loaves, we make everything to the customer’s taste and requirements.

Our Easter 🐣 range of edible goodies is now available in all our shops and available to our purchase or order.

Our Hot Cross Buns taste amazing toasted and spread with either Tiptree Lemon 🍋 Curd or Haughley Honey 🍯 from the hives here in the meadows across from the Bakehouse 🐝

Our Hot Cross Buns are made to a traditional recipe using Marriages Flour, Natural Yeast, Spices, Mixed Peel, Raisins and Sultanas before being baked in our Ancient Brick Ovens 😋

Our Haughley & Woolpit Shops also stocks Freshly Cut Flowers 💐

We are Open this week, Monday to Maundy Thursday and Easter Saturday but Closed on Good Friday and Easter Day (Sunday) and Easter Monday 🍞
