I know I don’t post much these days as I’m 60 days away from my own big day but I just had to share this fab post by Banchory Lodge Hotel with some gorgeous pictures of Siobhan Dowall and Lewis Dowall’s absolutely fabulous and stunning wedding as there just happens to be an amazing picture of their cake….made by yours truly!!

Massive congratulations to and Lorraine who got married last weekend at in a most gorgeous ceremony and venue.

This day has been waiting for a very long time and after 16 years and covid cancellations they finally got to say I do 🥰

Lorraine looked stunning in her bespoke red dress and both her and the wedding was full of pure class, I’d expect nothing less from the king of style and queen of chic!

Two of the most loveliest people you could ever meet and I’m so grateful to be able to call them friends!

Enjoy every moment of married life, you deserve the best!

Thank you for trusting me to make this absolute show stopper of a cake, I absolutely LOVED it and when a bride trusts me to make a design so spectacular you know it’s going to be a cracker! Inside was red velvet to match her dress and then lemon and passionfruit, and I made a single red sugar rose especially to represent Lorraine nestled in amongst the blush, pink and whites. It’s official I LOVE this cake!!

P.s the GROOM took some of these AMAZING shots of their cake on their wedding day and I’m not going to lie they are absolute brilliant and much better than my shoddy ones which can also be seen here! I think you tell the difference lol!

There’s wedding cake set ups and THEN there’s wedding cake set ups, and this certainly was the latter!

Massive congratulations to Kirsten & Micheal who got married Thainstone House] on Friday. Kirsten had an amazing vision for her day and whilst she’d kept me informed I hadn’t envisaged anything quite so beautiful.

The letters and floral arch was provided by Dream Events By Sarah] and the gorgeous fresh flowers for the cake were supplied by the lovely Emma from Paper & Petals] I can’t wait to show you lots more pictures from this stunning wedding over the next few days.

I really love it when a bride thinks about how to showcase their cake for added wow factor and whilst Kirsten went all out and it’s absolutely stunning there are lots of ways of adding touches to give your cake to wow factor and make it a real focal point such as by adding a bespoke stand such as this one hired from me which is by Mosser Glass] or by adding some extra flowers and foliage to dress the table which doesn’t have to be costly. Massive congratulations to Shona and Stuart who’d been waiting a while to get their day!! After many a date change they married yesterday at the gorgeous in a strange mix of sunshine and snow showers!!! It’s definitely April in Scotland alright!!

Shona is a lovely friend of mine and ex colleague and I was so honoured she chose me to make her gorgeous cake on her wedding day. I hope your day was everything you dreamed of, a more beautiful and kind couple and deserving of a special day you could not wish to meet. I wish all the love and happiness in the world 🥰

Three tiers of stunning grey marble with blush pink sugar flowers, flavours:

Vanilla with strawberry jam and vanilla BC
Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and vanilla butter cream
Double chocolate.

Added to the mix was a mini watermelon birthday cake for her niece in Red Velvet to celebrate her 14th birthday, no one will forget anniversary’s and birthdays from here on in! So lovely of Stella to share her special day too! Hope you had a lovely birthday!

Congratulations to the lovely Mr & Mrs Ritchie who got married in glorious sunshine on Saturday at the beautiful Thainstone House] which shone and sparkled! The weather could not have been better and was warmer than most summer days! I did not complain, even though I’d cake makers are known for not loving the heat and cake combo!!

This four tier beauty took pride of place and shone in the sunlight streaming through the windows. Dusky pink lustre, sparkles, white lustre and plain decorated with sugar sprays to match the beautiful flowers from (thank you for the images!). Blush roses, hydrangea, old English, some eucalyptus for good measure. It was a joy to make. Thank you so so much for asking me ti be a part of your day.

I hope you both had the best time and enjoyed every moment! Wishing you all the best for the future 💞
