Three of three, and what a way to finish the series!

We’re continuing our journey across KA Leisure’s newly refurbished sites in Irvine, Scotland, with our third instalment taking us to The Portal.

As part of KA Leisure’s investment in its fitness facilities, The Portal has undergone a significant refurbishment and equipment installation, creating a fresh, modern and more diverse training environment for members.

At the heart of the new space is a combination of Matrix Endurance cardio, Magnum strength and Versa strength equipment, giving members a broad range of training options across the gym floor.

But the transformation doesn’t stop there.

The refurbishment has also expanded the ways members can train beyond the traditional gym floor. The Portal now features a brand-new YourReformer Reformer Pilates studio, complete with digital reformer equipment, alongside a newly refurbished hybrid functional training studio, creating dedicated spaces for members to explore different ways to train.

As part of the refurbishment, KA Leisure has also introduced The Yard, a brand-new outdoor training space designed to take workouts outside and give members even more ways to train.

From cardio and strength to functional training, outdoor workouts and Reformer Pilates, The Portal now offers a truly diverse training experience with something to suit every member.

It’s been fantastic to see the transformations come together across each site, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing these spaces to life alongside KA Leisure.

From Cardio to Strength, Plymouth Has Levelled Up

We’re pleased to have recently worked with Plymouth Marjon University to refresh and enhance their training facility, upgrading both their cardio and strength offering.

The cardio area has been refreshed with new Matrix Endurance Treadmills, bringing reliable, high-performance running technology to the gym floor and creating an even better experience for everyday training and conditioning.

We’ve also expanded the strength offering with a selection of Matrix Versa Strength pieces, adding greater variety and versatility to the gym floor and giving students more ways to train, progress and achieve their goals.

Together, these upgrades create a more complete training environment, combining high-performance cardio with accessible, versatile strength equipment.

Another great project for Matrix Fitness, helping Plymouth Marjon University take its training experience to the next level.

The Lexus Wrexham Open starts this week!

From Sunday 18th, the Lexus Wrexham Open gets underway, and we’re delighted to be attending and supporting what promises to be an exciting week of tennis.

As the biggest women’s tennis event in the UK outside of the grass-court season, the tournament will welcome players from the world’s top 100, making it a standout event in the tennis calendar.

Throughout the tournament, we’ll be welcoming our clients to three of the key events to enjoy the tennis, soak up the atmosphere and connect with fellow industry professionals.

We’re proud to be involved in the event, supplying Matrix equipment and supporting the tournament both on and off the court.

We’re looking forward to enjoying everything the Lexus Wrexham Open has to offer!

We’re delighted to be heading to Malta for this year's W3Fit EMEA, joining an incredible group of professionals from across the fitness, health and wellness industry.

After a fantastic experience at W3Fit last year, we’re excited to be back and ready for another great event.

Taking place at the Hilton Malta from 13th–16th October, W3Fit is built around bringing people together through one-to-one meetings, education, networking and shared experiences.

We’re looking forward to a few days filled with insightful conversations, new connections and plenty of opportunities to share ideas with the people helping shape our industry.

What a night at the ukactive Awards 2026!

We had the pleasure of joining colleagues, partners and some of the biggest names from across the UK’s physical activity, fitness and leisure sector at the ICC Birmingham.

The evening was a fantastic opportunity to come together and celebrate the incredible achievements, innovation and impact taking place across our industry, while recognising the people and organisations continuing to shape the future of fitness and leisure.

We were also incredibly proud to be the Drinks Sponsor for the evening, helping to keep the celebrations flowing throughout the night.

It was fantastic to celebrate alongside so many inspiring individuals and organisations, catch up with familiar faces and make new connections across the industry.

A huge congratulations to all the winners, finalists and everyone recognised throughout the evening.

And a big thank you to ukactive for bringing the industry together for such a memorable evening, and for giving us the opportunity to play a part in making it one to remember!

The new installations just keep coming!

The Sports Park at the University of Reading has recently undergone a fresh upgrade, with a newly refurbished gym and a brand-new installation of equipment ready to welcome the next wave of students.

The upgraded facility combines the technology, durability and versatility needed to support a diverse university community, from everyday fitness and conditioning to more focused strength and performance training.

The Sports Park has been kitted out with a high-performing mix of Matrix Endurance Cardio, Magnum Strength and Versa Strength equipment. Endurance Cardio provides engaging fitness and conditioning, Versa Strength offers versatile and accessible strength training for every level, while Magnum Strength delivers robust, performance-focused equipment for those looking to push their training further.

The result is a refreshed training environment that looks the part, performs at a high level and gives students, staff and the wider university community even more ways to train.
