The great oatcake filling debate begins 👀🧡

We asked the team and a few familiar faces what their go-to filling is - and the answers did not disappoint.

Jake went classic - bacon and cheese. Can't argue with that.
Our customer though? Bacon, sausage, cheese AND egg. The full works. Absolute scenes.

Consider signing the petition to reduce VAT for the hospitality industry to 10% from the current 20%.

VAT is a killer for many small business, especially when you considers other rises across the board included energy, wages, supplies etc.

The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

Some customers leave an impression you don't forget. ❤️

A whileback, a group of lads walked into the shop on King Street. Leathers on, bags packed, bikes loaded. Nothing unusual about that - except they weren't just popping in for breakfast. They were at the start of a motorbike trip. Not a weekend away. Not a city break.

They were riding to Nordkapp, Norway. The northernmost point in Europe. The edge of the Arctic Circle. 🇳🇴

And they wanted to make their own oatcakes once they completed the journey.

We packed them up some dry mix, wished them well, and honestly didn't know what to expect. Then the photos came back.

There they were. Staffordshire oatcakes, cooking on a camping stove, somewhere in the Arctic Circle, in 3°C temperatures, with nothing but open wilderness around them.

We've sent oatcakes to Australia. We've had them ordered from Berkshire, Lincolnshire, Spain, Germany and Chicago. But this might be the most remarkable one yet.

Bagged up in King Street, Kidsgrove. Eaten at the top of the world. 🌍
