NEWBIES THIS WEEK

- Toasted fig leaf and almond. Has to be tried to be explained because it has an unusual flavour but I'm a fan!

- Lavender and Lemon, I made this the other week and it went down well so it's back for round 2

I also have damson gin, peanut chew, rhubarb and vanilla, dark cherry AND all your usual favourites

SALTED CARAMEL

A simple design because I have to make so many of them 😅 people love it, not one I'd normally choose but always popular.

It's weird how many people can make salted caramel but every one I've tasted is SO different. Mine is made to a deep amber colour, I try to take it so it has depth of flavour without being bitter/burnt, salt infused in the cream, salted butter and for good measure a sprinkle of sea salt once it's been piped into the shell.

Peanut Chew 🥜

Because peanut butter chewy caramel with peanut nougat is too much of a mouthful...but that's what it is, its coated in Jivara 40% milk chocolate and it's delicious (I should know, I've eaten enough of it to make myself a bit sick 😂 at least you know it's all quality controlled!)

Available this week, back open tomorrow, Friday and Saturday inside 10-3!

Got buns hun?

Football season has begun again so having the house to myself meant time to experiment with a side of baking I don't do much. I don't usually have the patience to wait for dough to prove and all that business but I do love a pastry...oh the dilemma

I made these spiced vanilla knots using a tangzhong which is where you cook a portion of the milk and flour together before adding it to the dough, it's meant to make the dough more pillowy and soft and I've got to say, I'm pretty happy for a first attempt!

NEWBIES!

- Damson gin made with damsons from my grandma's garden 🥰 and 360 gin

- Hazelnut rocher, milk chocolate truffle ganache with whole roasted hazelnut and coated in caramelized hazelnut milk chocolate. Who needs ferrero?!

- Lavender and lemon. Personally I usually hate lavender but I quite like this. Maybe I haven't used enough lavender and that's why. Come try and it and give me your thoughts

- Marmite caramel. Take two on this flavour, dialled down the Marmite a lot 😂 now it's a caramel with a subtle umami flavour. Will you love it or hate it?!

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-3, come get em.

BUTTERY TOAST

Gotta be up there with most people's favourites...there's an odd few people who don't like this one, crazy I know?!

Dehydrated sourdough, browned butter and caramelised white chocolate dipped in milk chocolate. So simple. So crunchy. So delicious.

Met office we need a word....who said it was going to be cooler today?!

This is the current state of chocolate in the shop, the shop is crazy hot even compared to the rest of the building 😫

Thankyou to people who came today, hopefully back open tomorrow but maybe with an early close if it's still bloody boiling and possibly with a whole load of chocolate to sell off. Wish me better luck for next week!

Back open Friday from 10am and I've been having a play and made some newbies! We've got

🌾 Malted Cornflakes (taste testers FULLY approve of this one and may already need to make a new batch)

🍒 Vegan Cherry Bakewell - next batch may need more cherry powder but everything is a work in progress isn't it, it's still tasty!

🔥 Smoked Salted Almond Shards - these are quite addictive and every now and then you get a crunch of crystally smoked salt with the sweet gold chocolate

Finally, a top up of some form favourites including Dark Chocolate Ginger, Birthday Cake (it's been a while!), Salted Peanut and Pretzel and Cranberry and Cacao Nib

Can't wait to see you all 😅
