🔥 WE’RE HIRING! 🔥

We’re looking for an additional Oatcake kitchen Crew Member to join our team at Oatbakers (ST6 4ND)

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role cooking and preparing hot filled oatcakes. If you enjoy being busy, working as part of a team and thrive under pressure, you could be a great fit.

🕐 19+ hours per week
📅 Thursday–Sunday, 8am–1pm
💷 £13–£15 per hour
➕ Additional hours may be available
📆 Temporary position with potential to become permanent
🚫 17+ only

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, clean, punctual and willing to learn.

Previous kitchen or food experience is great, but personality and attitude matter more.

📍 You’ll need to be local or have your own reliable transport due to the early starts.

We’re taking a little break!

As most of our customers will already know, Oatbakers is now closed for our annual two-week summer shutdown. ❤️

We had originally planned to use this time to carry out part of our expansion plans. Unfortunately, due to a few unexpected setbacks, those works have had to be pushed back until after the winter.

But that doesn’t mean we’re standing still! 👀

We’ve got plenty of improvements and changes to work on while we are closed. Hopefully to make things even better as we head into the busy winter months.

Most importantly, our amazing team have absolutely smashed it through what has been our busiest and hottest summer ever. ☀️🔥 They’ve worked incredibly hard, and now it’s time for them to put their feet up, recharge and enjoy their well-earned holidays. ❤️

Thank you to every single one of you who has supported us this summer. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you!

We’ll be back open on Thursday 3rd September. 🎉

📞 Sorry we missed your call, it was rush hour.

From 11am every Sunday everyone wants oatcakes.

We pride ourselves on serving customers as quickly as possible, but even we have our limits. During today’s rush, we served 43 orders while receiving 68 missed calls.

To all our new customers: if you can’t get through, don’t panic. It simply means every member of our team is busy trying to keep the queue outside moving. Most of our regulars know it’s usually much quicker to just pop in and place your order in-store.

Thank you for understanding and, most importantly, thank you for keeping us so busy. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you.

SOLD OUT! 🥤

Well… we weren’t expecting that! 😅

Over the last 2 days you’ve drunk your way through what would normally be 2 weeks’ worth of milkshakes!

Unfortunately as a result we’ve completely sold out of cups, and with it being the weekend we’re unlikely to get any more until next week.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s popped in and supported us. We honestly appreciate it.
