-Update-

Those of you who know me personally know that the last few months have been particularly challenging for me.

I lost my Dad in a tragic accident and my world has been turned upside down.

Combined with the rocketing price of just about everything and my need for time to heal (and another exciting adventure) Slow bakes is taking an indefinite break.
I’ll still be baking for friends, family and the lucky ducks garden as well as starting a new creative journey.....

I had the pleasure of making this beauty today ☺️

Lemon, gooseberry and elderflower with all the seasonal edible flowers. Geranium, hawthorn, forget-me-not, elderflower and Dianthus

Using a Scottish cold pressed rapeseed oil infused with lemon, plus fresh lemon juice made the sponge super lemony!🍋🍋🍋

-Lemon Spelt and khorasan sponge
-Blackcurrant compote
-Lemon frosting.

Decorated with forget-me-not flowers, orange thyme flowers and Dianthus (sweet William) petals from the slow bakes garden 😍
