Okay guys, I know it's a bit early to mention the C word, and I'm sorry to those of you this offends as we stroll into Autumn 🤣 but I'm starting to think about menu options for this year and I would like your input please 🙏

I think the Rudolphs are here to stay, because Christmas wouldn't be the same without a Rudolph🦌, but I'm wondering how many of you struggle to get through them?

Would you like to see a smaller option?

And are there any flavours you'd like to see? 👀

As a home baker, you bake and learn! 🧁

And I've spent the last couple of years baking and learning a lot.

Here are the things, that as a baker, I won't do again, and some might shock you...but that's okay!

1. I won't take another order for less than 12 cupcakes.

I appreciate not everybody needs lots of cake, but a box of 6 is not worth the time or money for me.

Exceptions to this would be if they were being ordered to go alongside a cake. But cupcakes alone? A minimum order of 12👌

2. I won't make any more naked cakes.

I won't make a cake to send out knowing that it'll likely just go dry.

And no, I won't use simple syrup or sugar water, because what's worse, dry cake or soggy cake?! 🤢

3. I won't take an order for an AI generated cake or a cake I don't like.

Although I'm obviously grateful to my customers for choosing me, I can't make an AI cake, and I can't enjoy making a cake I think is ugly 🙈

I know it isn't MY cake, but if I'm not happy with the final result, the enjoyment of creating it just isn't there, so it's a no from me 🫣

4. I won't compete with anybody else's pricing.

If you see a baker offering a cake for £25...okay. I believe my pricing is very fair considering the cost of ingredients, utilities and the time it takes to create your visions.

My prices are my prices ❤️

5. I won't decorate somebody else's cakes. Why? Because I don't know how they taste! And I don't need your guests thinking I created them if they're terrible 🫢
