Over the past week I have created this dinosaur. His name is Trevor the Triceratops and is made entirely out of edible rice crispy treats, fondant and modelling chocolate.
Lots of things I’ve learnt. Enjoyed making my own modelling chocolate and structure to build around.

After cake international I’ve got the big for making human type figures. Zoe's fancy cakes book has helped me create my first cartoon like elf which I love and then I more realistic one which I don’t (need to work on the face being less transvestite like).

I placed bronze and a merit. Feedback was fair for the bronze but a little unhappy with feedback for the merit but all in all an amazing experience.

Yesterday was amazing. Did a couple of have a go sessions, did a cookie decorating workshop, met the amazing Zoe Hopkinson from Zoe’s fancy cakes and had a good mooch around. Also purchased some moulds and a new book so think my next thing will be figure making! Stay tuned for the results of the competition later.
