This evening you will find me at Whaplode Manor near Spalding for their open evening between 6-8pm.

With a 19th Century barn, and a flower filled courtyard, this is a truly beautiful venue!

It also gives me the chance to share one of my faves set up at Whaplode Manor!
The personal touches in this cake just kept on coming!
From the handmade Mr and Mrs Penguin on the top, to the Lego men building the back of the cake with the help of some of their favourite Lego characters!
The sign shows that we had just come out of the dreaded 2020 lock downs and all that entailed, and bought a smile to everyone's faces!

Sometimes personal means a flavour that takes you back somewhere.
A taste that's triggers the memories of happy times and places, and whisks you back there.
Tim's wife ordered this Irish wh***ey cake, made with Tim's favorite Bushmills wh***ey

I do love it when a plan comes together!
Those of a certain age will imagine me saying that with a cigar hanging out of my mouth!!
When I design a cake for a wedding client, I draw it on paper to give them a visual idea of what their wedding cake will look like.
Some people find it hard to imagine the finished product, so this really helps them picture that cake for their special day and see if it aligns with their vision

Just to be clear this is very tongue in cheek!
But we've all been there, feeling the strain and there is nobody else to fall back on !
Its the end of a long wedding season, and it's time to meet lots of lovely new clients at all the wedding fayres.
Be kind to your suppliers, their only wish is that you have the best day!

The truth is, in wedding terms 2028 is not a long way away!

Most suppliers can only do one maybe two or three weddings a day, so if you meet suppliers that you want to work with you need to get them booked in

It's not about people trying to push you into making decisions. It's about suppliers who have had to let others down before, when they've enquired too late. And they don't want that to happen to you!

Plus you get the added bonus and not having to worry about it anymore because it's all organized and in the hands of professionals.

You can then enjoy the run up to your perfect day without worrying about whether you've managed to secure all the supplies you wanted to work with.
