My abstract ganache cake inspired by my canvas wall art 🎨🍰

This is my second attempt at this design after taking on board all the amazing advice from my lovely TikTok and YouTube followers — and I can definitely see an improvement from the first one! 🙌

It’s still not perfect, but that’s part of the creative journey and honestly, I’m falling in love with this abstract style more and more every time I try it. The textures, movement and artistic feel make every cake completely unique ✨

I’d genuinely love to know what you think of this version! Should I keep exploring this style? 💭

If your ganache is always:
❌ lumpy
❌ dull
❌ setting too fast
❌ splitting
❌ impossible to smooth properly

…then you probably haven’t actually been taught HOW to work with ganache properly 👀

Because SAME.

I used to dread making ganache 😭
Mine would set before I could even use it, look messy on cakes, lose its shine and never gave me that smooth professional finish.

I honestly thought ganache was difficult…

Until I finally understood:
✨ the right ratios
✨ the right chocolate
✨ the right temperature
✨ and how to actually work with it properly

Now? I use ganache exactly like buttercream:
🤎 fillings
🤎 crumb coats
🤎 final coats
🤎 sharp edges
🤎 piping details

…but it’s SO much more stable, especially for taller cakes and warmer weather 👏

And personally… I think it tastes way better too 😍

First go at an abstract cake like this and I actually loved it 😍🎨

I sometimes struggle with men’s designs, so I wanted to try something a bit different and more bold. This was done with ganache and was just about playing with colour and texture.

Next time I’d probably use fewer colours and blend more, but I really love the style and how expressive it feels!
