š«Yes thatās the sound of the wedding ring falling onto the tiled floor.
š«But donāt worry, Iām a pro, at lightening speed I put my foot out to stop it rolling š
š«Iāve had to deal with a few wedding ring mishaps, and when I check in with the ring bearer before the ceremony I do two things.
1. To check theyāre ok and talk them through their role.
2. I ask to physically see the rings.
š«On one occasion the groom said the bride had them, the bride said the groom had them, turned out no one knew where they were. I went into full detective mode, retraced where they were last seen, and found them in a white box on a white tablecloth on a table where the wedding breakfast was being served.
š«On another occasion the best man proudly took the box from his pocket, I asked him to open itā¦it was empty. Once again I sprang into action (discreetly), the bride had bought a special box for them but hadnāt told anyone else.
š«Things happen. Thereās a lot going on on the morning of your wedding, my job is to remain calm when things donāt quite go as planned so that you donāt worry.
No one was alarmed during these mishaps because I didnāt make a big thing out of it, just dealt with it (whilst mentally working out a back up plan in case they didnāt turn up).
š«Things happen to everyone, even my son in law forgot to take the rings š¤·āāļø
š«So if your carefully laid out plans go awry, donāt worry Iāve got you and you probably wonāt even know because itās dealt with calmly & professionallyā¦a bit like having your very own Celebrant Fairy Godmother š
