😂 Okay, consider this your official warning label:

⚠️ WARNING: JO — HANDLE WITH CAUTION ⚠️

Do not be fooled by the friendly smile. This woman is dangerously creative and has absolutely no concept of the phrase “that’s enough baking for today.”

She will casually say, “I’m just going to make a little something…” and approximately 47 minutes later there will be cakes, brownies, cupcakes, curds, preserves, boxes, labels and enough washing-up to require its own postcode.

She is powered by tea, ideas and sheer stubbornness.

She will also convince you that you definitely need to try whatever she has just baked. Resistance is futile. Compliment it and you may accidentally find yourself volunteered as a taste tester for the next six months.

She has a particularly dangerous habit of getting an idea at 11pm and thinking, “Ooooh, I could make that!” — which means tomorrow you're probably going to see it advertised on Facebook.

She is fiercely proud of her bakes, ridiculously determined, and will work her backside off to make her business succeed.

And if you ever hear:

> “I've had an idea…”

RUN.

Because you're about to become involved in a cake-related project. 😂🎂🧁

Final warning: Do not enter her kitchen while she's baking unless you're prepared to leave carrying cake. There is no known cure. 😁

I have a polite reminder for anyone who asks me to quote for their potential cake order 😊

I need to factor the following expenses into all quotes on the orders that I produce:

Cost of ingredients
Cost of water, electric, gas
Cost of insurance, petrol
Cost of my time for both baking your order & shopping for the ingredients
Cost of equipment (utensils, piping bags, food colours, boards, boxes, labels etc.)
Plus profit.

As you can see, many things need to be factored in so I can send you an accurate quote.

Please, please when I have sent you your quote, let me know if you no longer wish to go ahead with the order.

Thank you to the ones that do reply, but there are many who do not respond once they have seen the price of their quote.

It's ok to say no thank you as its more then I wanted to pay. Please remember that this is my job, & i have an hourly rate for my work.
