Some days call for slowing down.

An iced latte in hand, a good book, a quiet corner of the garden, and a few moments to yourself.

And this one? It’s extra special.

I’ve been working on something new for next week’s menu and I think you’re going to love it.

Our new Dark Brown Sugar Vanilla Iced Latte is topped with the dreamiest cold foam: silky, creamy and delicately sweet, with rich dark brown sugar notes that melt perfectly into the coffee.

It’s smooth without being overpowering, sweet without being sickly, and honestly one of the nicest drinks we’ve created.

The cold foam gently settles into the espresso and vanilla, creating the perfect balance in every sip.

Available from next week as a special, and if you’re a fan of iced coffee, this is one you won’t want to miss.

Now excuse me while I spend the rest of the evening risking coffee so close to bed time and snuggling in the hammock with my Kindle and what’s left of this latte. 🤎☕📖

What a crazy day it’s been!
We’ve been really fortunate in the respect of how busy The Bakehouse has been since opening.
It’s really shown me how well we fit into Albert road and the demand that’s there.
We’ve build a wonderful regular customer base and are always welcoming new faces too.

We see a lot online about the negatives of hospitality but there are also so many positives. Some being:

The amazing teams that work so hard collaboratively to achieve a common goal.

The loyalty from our community.

The smiles on faces all around us.

Thank you for choosing us time and time again! I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you have helped achieve this.

I’ll make sure we are back fully stocked again tomorrow!

We’re really proud to share that we’ve received our ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star Food Hygiene Rating for our bakehouse during our first unannounced inspection.

I also held a 5-star rating when I was baking from my home kitchen, and maintaining those standards has always been incredibly important to me. Moving into the bakehouse didn’t change that mindset at all, if anything, it strengthened it.

There was never any doubt in my mind that we would achieve a 5.

All of our paperwork is fully up to date and compliant, our cleaning systems are structured and consistent, and our team training is documented properly. Food hygiene standards are something we genuinely take seriously every single day.

It really is very achievable when food safety is prioritised, so if you haven’t had one yet and you’re just starting out, don’t panic ☺️

It’s a good day today at The Bakehouse
A full counter and a treasure hunt!!

£100,000 of Free Art to Be Hidden Across Portsmouth This Easter Portsmouth is set to become a giant treasure map this Easter as I get busy hiding
£100,000 worth of free art across the city.
From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, thousands of pieces of artwork will be hidden in streets, parks and public spaces across Portsmouth - all completely free to find and keep.

The city-wide treasure hunt is open to everyone and free to take part in. Clues will be released throughout the weekend on my socials using the hashtag giving residents and visitors the chance to track down hidden pieces.
