By purchasing from Roo Cakes you agree that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms & conditions. Quotations are valid for 21 days from the date the quote was issued. Cake sizes are measured by diameter & in inches. All cakes are 3 layers of sponge, unless stated otherwise. Images on the website & social media are examples of the cakes we offer and are made to order and therefor
e may vary from their pictures. We also offer bespoke cakes & take pride in the fact that no two cakes are the same. Please note, you have not placed an order until the booking fee has been paid. COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Upon collection or delivery, the cake(s) will be as set out in the order description & be of satisfactory quality & comply with food safety regulations in the UK. We will not be held responsible for customer disappointment of the design or interpretation of the cake as it is in line with the pre-agreed requirements as discussed when ordering and thus will face no consequent liability. It is the customers responsibility to ensure any specific design requests are highlighted and agreed to on ordering. Once the cake has been handed over to the customer, it is no longer our responsibility & cannot be liable for any defect or damage arising from willful damage, accidents or negligence by you or any third party. We suggest keeping cakes refrigerated & allowed to come to room temperature for around 30 minutes before serving. Cupcakes and brownies should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and other heat sources. When transporting the cakes, boxes should be held by the bottom, not the sides and placed in the foot well of your car with the air con on until it reaches its destination. If delivery is required, we will deliver the cake on the day agreed upon ordering to the address provided. We cannot offer specific delivery times. ALLERGENS
Our cakes are made in an environment where nuts, eggs, milk, gluten, soya and all other major allergens are present. We cannot guarantee that cakes are entirely free from any allergen, although every effort is made to prevent cross contamination. Stacked cakes contain dowels in each tier to provide support and these should be removed before consumption. All goods purchased from us remain the property of Roo Cakes until paid for in full. PRICE & PAYMENT
The price of your cake will be stated when ordering. A 25% booking fee is required to secure your order. The remainder will be due (at the latest) one week prior to collection/delivery. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure payment is on time. Please note all booking fees are non refundable. Payments may be made by bank transfer or Paypal as agreed at the time of ordering. If payments are made late, we do not accept liability where products for the order cannot be obtained in time. The order will be completed as close to the desired design as possible. CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENTS & ALTERATIONS
In the event of a cancellation by the customer, charges are as follows;
More than 30 days prior to the date = booking fee only. Between 30 days and 14 days prior to the date = booking fee plus half the remaining cost. Less than 14 days prior to the date = full amount
Any payments previously made are not refundable. In the event of postponement, the payment due will remain the same as a cancellation. Where possible, we will carry the monies paid forward to the new date. Postponement will only be possible on one occasion. Any other postponements will be treated as a cancellation. If you would like to make changes or amend your order, please give us as much notice as possible and we will do our best to accommodate changes. Please note changes are not guaranteed & any changes that are made may change the cost of the order. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your order any monies paid will be refunded. COMPLAINTS
We put every effort into every cake we bake to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied and come back for more. If there is a need for complaint, we take this very seriously. Any issues must be raised with us within 48 hours of collection/delivery to ensure there is fair opportunity to assess the nature of the complaint. Both parties agree not to post any negative information online or on the website without providing advanced notice and providing prior opportunity to resolve the issue amicably. Complaints about the decoration of cakes must be pointed out upon delivery/collection to give us the opportunity to correct them. Complaints regarding the quality of the cake, the cake or remainder of the cake, must be returned as soon as possible after cutting and within 48 hours of collection/delivery to ensure that we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint. Please note we can only deal with the client who placed the original order. We reserve the right to use images of your cake for any form of advertising including web based promotions, brochures, galleries and competitions.
