OK so I know its been a while, but it's that's time of year again.
Today is international women's day. I see many posts "happy women's day" "celebrating all the strong and powerful women" I want to highlight something else.
"Claire's Law" is 10 years old this week. Still women are not being given information about previously violent partners.
The Murderer of Sarah Everard, (i will not mention his name) should never have been allowed to become a police officer.
We aren't even getting the basics right. So yes while there are strong independant women out there that need appreciation, let's make sure we are also supporting those in vulnerable positions, making streets safer for women and teaching mutual respect to boys and girls in schools.

WARNING: UPSETTING CONTENT
So here we are again. International Women's Day and in the last month I have had two friends face serious sexual assault in broad daylight. So this year I make a plea to all men. Think about your mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, nieces and friends. Call your mates, relatives and colleagues out on inappropriate comments and behaviours. I am in no way demonising all men, but we need your support to tackle the minority. And petition your local councillors to keep the street lights on.

I will not sit here and pretend I am monarchist, but the Queen's life was not her own and I have the upmost respect for her as a human being. To do her duty as she did, for as long as she did can only be applauded and admired. A family, has lost a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother; a pain many of us share. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

So a massive congrats to the lionesses on last night's amazing win, and also thanks to both teams and their staff for demonstrating how awesome women's football is. Hopefully the legacy from this will bring the sport a step closer to parity with the men's game. Though worth noting that had the men won last year their bonus would have been nearly 4 times higher than what the women will recieve.

So we all know I am rubbish at this social media marketing stuff, so here's some pictures of cake. Stay hydrated.
