This Hate Crime Awareness Week, we’re encouraging open conversations about hate crime and the impact it can have on individuals and communities. 💙
Hate crime is any crime motivated because of someone’s race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. It can have a devastating impact and there is no place for hate in our communities.
Please remember, wherever you live, there is a dedicated Community Safety Officer in your area. They’re here to listen, support you, and help you access the right services. They’ll work with you throughout any investigation, keep you updated along the way, and take appropriate action which supports you to feel safe where you live.
If you’ve experienced a hate crime, it’s important to report it to the police. If it’s an emergency, call 999. For non-emergencies, call 101.
You can also report a hate crime to us by calling 0300 123 1567 or emailing [email protected]. 📞
