Here at Missy cupcake I love to bake everything from a box of delicious cupcakes to beautiful tiered celebration cakes and everything in between. All cakes are baked and decorated using only the freshest, finest ingredients to ensure you not only receive a cake which looks great but tastes great

too. I hold all relevant food health & hygiene and allergen certificates , full public liability insurance and have had my home kitchen inspected by Southampton City Council receiving a 5* hygiene rating.

The classic drip cake.
Ive not made one of these in a while but still love the look of perfectly spaced drips on smooth buttercream.
Classic vanilla sponge filled with creamy milk chocolate buttercream with a smooth buttercream finish and dark chocolate ganache drip finished with ferrero rocher, kinder Bueno and a touch of gold from sugar balls.

* Cake care in the heat *

We've had some beautiful weather in Southampton lately with temperatures hitting 31 degrees at times but its not just us feeling hot and sticky! warm weather and humidity is not a cakes friend .

Whatever the occasion, when designing your cake its important to consider travel, the venue and set up so that your cake stays looking beautiful throughout the day.

* always keep it cool.
* when transporting your cake place it in the footwell or boot of a cool car with the aircon on and keep it flat, preferably on a non slip mat .
* avoid direct sunlight, cakes will melt !
*keep away from heat.
Avoid warm rooms, conservatories or leaving in the car, even for a few minutes.
*buttercream will soften, this is normal but by following all the advice you can prevent any disasters after collection.
A little care will ensure your cake stays beautiful and tastes delicious .

Vinnie is 3 🥳

After creating Vinnies 1st and 2nd birthday cakes it was an absolute pleasure to make his 3rd birthday cake with toy story as this years theme.
Created from 4 layers of classic vanilla sponge filled with vanilla bean buttercream and raspberry jam and custom made charms and toppers.
