This cake was made for Father Mark Whiting, who has unfortunately had to step down from from ministry at St Patrick’s Catholic Church (Hayling island) due to his health.
Monica, who ordered on behalf of the church, put so much thought into how to make this cake representative of his life and loves.
From the conversation I had with her, he seems like a truly wonderful man. I would like to personally wish him a happy and hopefully healthier future!

By far my most challenging when it comes to buttercream cakes, but I LOVE a challenge! Admittedly I had a love hate relationship with it while decorating as the cake needed to be flipped after each of the ruffles. I had a few fall off and need to be redone so it took much longer than I had intended. 🤦‍♀️ Huge learning curve. BUT the result was just so worth it! The cupcakes to go along with the theme just finish it off so beautifully. Suki’s Mother had a wonderful vision. 😍

Lemon sponge cake and buttercream with a purple and black colour scheme.
This one was a lot of fun to make. Especially the Ozzy Osborne bat… being a fellow Brummie I appreciate it! Closely followed by the wafer paper black poppy flowers.
