✨ Wedding Fayre Tip ✨

Wedding fayres are a wonderful opportunity to meet suppliers in person and have real conversations about your wedding plans.

As a wedding cake designer, I always recommend visiting a few different fayres if you can. Every cake designer has their own style and way of working, and wedding fayres make it so much easier to see this compared to just browsing Instagram or Facebook.

The Cherished Cake I specialise in sugar flowers and cake artistry, creating wedding cakes that reflect your story☺️

One final tip: consider setting up a separate email address just for your wedding planning. You’ll collect lots of information at wedding fayres… and even more emails. This helps keep everything organised and stress-free.😉

Today, I visited a dear friend and had a lovely time together. She baked a cake for me, and it was absolutely delicious! 😋💓

It was a simple sponge cake filled with jam, as she prefers cakes without buttercream.

It reminded me that although my standard cakes are usually filled and finished with buttercream, I can also create cakes without cream if that’s your preference. Just let me know when ordering 😊

My friend and I have known each other for more than 20 years, and she has always been such a wonderful supporter of both me and my business.

Next time I visit her, I’ll bring one of my cakes. She loves fresh cream cakes, so I think a Japanese shortcake will be the perfect choice 🍓🍰

The hexagonal side design was inspired by the venue’s ceiling, creating a quiet connection between the cake and the space where the couple celebrated their special day.

The design was finished with delicate white sugar flowers, elegant initials, intricate sugar lace, and a sweet message on top:

“Better late than never.”

Each element was carefully considered to ensure the overall design feels elegant, balanced, and timeless.

Hello June! ☀️

Have you heard of the Japanese word Ikigai (生き甲斐)?

There isn’t an exact equivalent in English, but it can be described as a reason for living, a sense of purpose, or something that gives your life meaning.

For me, my Ikigai is my family and friends.

It’s not only about being together or sharing the same space. Even when we can’t see each other, simply thinking of the people I care about and knowing that we are connected gives my life meaning.

They are also the reason I can keep moving forward and continue doing what I love.

I feel incredibly grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met along the way. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
