It was a busy wedding showcase at Kimbridge Barn yesterday! 🤍

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my table. It was lovely meeting so many couples and hearing about your wedding plans.

Something I noticed yesterday was that quite a few couples didn’t realise my flowers are handmade from sugar.

If you’ve never seen sugar flowers on a wedding cake before, that’s completely understandable. Wedding cakes can be quite different from birthday cakes❣️☺️

I sometimes make sugar flowers for birthday cakes too, when I’m asked, but they are a big part of my wedding cake designs.

So, why sugar flowers❓

Yuko’s Little Thoughts 🤍
A little thought from me to start the month…

“When it feels scary to jump in,
that’s exactly when you jump.
Otherwise, you end up staying in the same place your whole life.”

Three years ago, around this time, this quote was exactly what I needed to hear.

I decided to enter the Cake International competition for the first time.

I was so nervous. My hands were shaking, my heart was racing, and I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into. 😅

But I did it.

I stepped into something completely outside my comfort zone, not knowing what would happen.

And looking back now, I’m so glad I took that first step.

It didn’t just become a competition for me. It became the beginning of a new challenge, and a reminder that sometimes you just have to be brave enough to jump. 🤍

So, if there’s something you’ve been thinking about but feel a little scared to try…

Maybe this is your sign to take that first step. ☺️

You never know where that first step might take you. 🤍

It’s a full moon tonight, and I just wanted to share one of my painted cakes. 🌕✨

Your wedding cake doesn’t have to be traditional white.

I believe your wedding cake should be like you☺️ beautiful, unique, and a reflection of your love story.

When I paint, I like to add my own style rather than making everything too realistic.

For example, with these little foxes, I wanted to give them a slightly human-like feel, almost as if they have their own little personalities. 🦊☺️

To me, your cake is a canvas.

There are so many little things you can bring to life on a wedding cake!
