Ellie & Tommy’s Wedding Cake 🤍✨

They chose two tiers of chocolate cake and one tier of vanilla, with a Roman cake separator creating the beautiful 4-tier look.

If you’d love a 4-tier cake but don’t need lots of portions, this is a great way to create the look you want while keeping the cake size right for your guest numbers. 🤍

The handmade sugar roses were made in slightly different shades of pink, beautifully matching their wedding decor 💓

Yuko’s Little Thoughts 🤍

A little thought from me to start the month.

September is my birthday month.

When I was young, getting a little older simply meant another birthday, and I was very happy as long as there was a delicious strawberry shortcake. 🍰

But as I’ve grown older, my birthday has started to feel like more than just my day.

I find myself feeling especially grateful for my parents, grandparents, my great-grandparents and all the generations before them.

Because when I really think about it, if even one person in all those generations before me had been missing from that story, I wouldn’t be here today.

I find that quite fascinating.

When I think about how many lives came before mine, and how many little moments had to happen for me to be here today, I realise just how precious this one life is.

I don’t know what the future will bring, but I hope I can keep finding little things to be grateful for, little moments to enjoy, and people to share them with.

I want to enjoy every moment I have. 🤍

My clients were so thoughtful about their guests. 💓

They chose 100% food-safe, handmade sugar flowers for their wedding cake. 🌸
Some fresh flowers can be poisonous, so sugar flowers are a beautiful way to avoid that risk.

They wanted to have a dairy-free cookie and asked me to create a mini sugar plaque that looked like their wedding favour cookies — so no one would feel left out. 💓

They also provided some dairy-free cupcakes, and I simply added some delicate edible sugar flowers to them. 🌸

Such a thoughtful couple, and I was so happy to create these little details for them. ✨

For me, a wedding cake is more than something beautiful.

I love creating cakes where the cake itself takes centre stage, with elegant details and handmade sugar flowers designed especially for each couple.

I believe the sugar flowers should be part of the cake design — carefully made by hand to complement the cake.

Every flower, every detail and every element has a purpose.

This is my style. ☺️

Looking for an elegant, bespoke wedding cake with handmade sugar flowers?

The Cherished Cake is now taking wedding bookings for 2027 & 2028.

Every cake is individually designed and handmade by me, with each detail created especially for your wedding.

Wedding cakes start from £550, with most bespoke designs averaging £700–£800 depending on the size, flavours and level of detail.

I take on a limited number of wedding cakes each year, so if you’re planning your wedding in Hampshire or the surrounding areas, I’d love to hear from you.
